Upper Dolpa Trek

La parte settentrionale del Dolpo e' normalmente chiamata Dolpo interno e da sempre e' stata circondata di un 'auradi misticismo. L'obiettivo della maggior parte dei trekker che si recano nel Dolpo interno e' costituito dall'itinerario del gompa di shey, sopratotto a causa delle argomentazioni contenute nel libro di Peter Matthiessen Th Snow Liopard ( Il lipardo di neve). Shey era chiuso agli stranieri fino al 1992. Si dice che la ragione di questo divieto sia da imputarsi ai diffusi furti di statue dai monasteri avvenuti alcuni anni fa. Nonostante il misticismo che circonda Shey e la 'montagna di cristallo', questo non e' per niente un trekking molto frequntato.Il terreno disagevole, le condizioni fisiche necessarie e le tasse esorbitanti hanno costituito dei deterrenti per la maggior parte del le persone.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu .
Day 02: Half day guided city tour PM free.
Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Nepaljung.
Day 04: Flight from Nepaljung to Juphal then trek to Dunai (2150m)
Day 05: Trek to Hanke (2600m).
Day 06: Trek to Sumdo (3000m).
Day 07: Trek to Shey Phoksundo Lake (3738m).
Day 08: Rest day. Today we rest to admire the beauty of this great lake. We visit nearby villages inhabited by Bon and Buddhist Settlers.
Day 09: Trek to Numla Phedi (5000m).
Day 10: Numla Bagala Pass (5190m).
Day 11: Trek to Tokyu.
Day 12: Trek to Do (4040m).
Day 13: Trek to Guru Gompa.
Day 14: Trek to Charka La Phedi (4900m).
Day 15: Charka La Pass, and camp at Sachen Gumba.
Day 16: Trek to Thajang Chu phedi.
Day 17: Trek to Sangda phedi.
Day 18: Trek to Sangda.
Day 19: Trek to Phalayak.
Day 20: Trek to Jomsom
Day 21: Jomsom to Tukuche.
Day 22: Trek to Ghasa
Day 23: Trek to Tatopani.
Day 24: Trek to Ghorepani.
Day 25: Trek to Tadapani.
Day 26: Trek to Ghandruk.
Day 27: Trek to Birethanti, and drive to Pokhara.
Day 28: Drive Pokhara - Kathmandu .
Day 29: In Kathmandu .
Day 30: Trip ends ! fly back home, taking with you the memory of a life time.
