Comments: Dear Gyanendra,

Namaste and thank you for the pictures. It was so good to hear from you and once again thank you for everything you did for us during our time in Nepal. I had a truly amazing time, and you helped make that possible. Not only did you guide us through the mountains and hills of Nepal, but you also helped us find hotel accommodations and ensure that we had a proper car service to the airport.

Testimonials

I had a great time with you in the mountains. From the first day in your office where you clearly explained the whole trip to us to the last night in Dampus having dinner together, you made the trip easy and always explained everything we needed to know, in fantastic English. I hope you had as much fun as the trek as I did. I hope to be able to make it back to Nepal in the near future, and I will definitely recommend your services to any of my friends and family who come to Nepal.

I have also attached some pictures with this email, hope you like them.

Thank You,
Brandon Younesi

Comments: It has been a dream to travel to Nepal and trek to Annurpurna Base. With the expert guidance from Kim our Adventure Treks Nepal guide we reached our goal and were rewarded with magnificent views. We were well entertained along the way and were introduced to so many local people. Most would go out of their way to warm our belly's with traditional Dhal Bhat dinners and rice wine, well earned after a day on mountain! Must start planning my next adventure! - Jennifer Gibb, Australia

Mr. Claes Goeran Helmer X 02 Pax (Sweden)

Comments: Dear Ganny (Adventure Treks Nepal),

It is unbelievable that time has marched on so quickly since we met and since you so professionally showed us your Nepal. Although we didn't do the trekkiing that the other 5 did..we loved experiencing your love of your country thru your eyes. Not only did you make sure we had a fun time..teach us about the history and culture og your country..you made sure we bought our beautiful pashminas from your friend at the most reasonable prices..you even connected with us again when we were home in Canada..I would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone who wanted to experience Nepal...and maybe we someday will meet again.

Our 6-members´ group spent 6 days trekking in Nepal (Mount Everest range) in February 2012. It was 6 wonderful unrepeatable and unforgettable days, during which we have had experienced all kind of weather (warm, terribly cold, sunny, snow as well as rain during these days. We climbed and descended hundreds of metres with so many beautiful views of the mountains. During the last evening we discussed the whole trip and we didn’t find anything negative about it. Our guide Gyanendra Karki told us, that nothing wrong could happen to good and positive people. Maybe our trip was so excellent because of Gaynendra: He is friendly, helpful, very well informed (knowledgeable) and always smiling guide who is able to change the trip´s plan according our preference, although it could mean much more kilometres for him and porters. We are really very happy, that Gyanendra was with us and we will never forget the last evening in LuklaJ Thank you Gyanendra for the lovely trek!

Comments: Everyone at Adventure Treks Nepal was very helpful in putting together the trip and our guide was very accommodating. The entire trip was a refreshing break from the ordinary, in which it seemed anything shy of the weather could be fixed at the drop of the hat. The scenery was unlike anything we have ever seen and we look forward to my next trip in Nepal.

Comments: We organized our trek to Everest base camp and trip to Chitwan jungle with Adventure Treks Nepal. For both adventures I couldn’t find fault with the service provided. From the time we were picked up at the airport until we left Nepal we felt we were well looked after.

During the trek our guide was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. We completed the trek at our own pace and stayed in comfortable teahouses. While in Kathmandu the hotels that were part of the booking were lovely.

The trip to Chitwan was also well organized. The staff at the Tiger residency in Sudraha were friendly and made the stay there enjoyable. We were able to experience Chitwan jungle by walking, elephant, biking and jeep safari.

For any travel / tours in Nepal we would certainly recommend Adventure treks Nepal.

Adventure Treks Nepal was great - They sent us a preset itinerary for the trek and told us that we could customize it to whatever we wanted to do. Since it was our first time to Nepal, We went with what had suggested. We had 10 days total in Nepal and was wonderful. We really wand to give thanks all the peoples at Adventure Treks Nepal.

Comments: Last year we booked a trip at Adventure Treks Nepal to Chitwan National Park for 3 days and 2 nights. It was really nice and well organized. We slept in a lodge at the Tiger Residency. The staff was really nice and the food was so good! The lodges were simple but good, we had a nice sleep in the middle of the jungle. My special thanks go to Shisir, the man who guided us through the jungle. He has the best humor ever and we had a really good time with him. He knew a lot of information about the jungle, the animals and the nature. We did an elephant jungle ride, a bird spotting trip, a canoe trip where we spotted some crocodiles and we booked an extra jeepsafari where we saw a rhino, a bear, a python snake and a lot of other animals. It was a good trip :) The staff of Adventure Treks Nepal were really helpful and they are doing everything to make your trip comfortable. I would definitely recommend Adventure Treks Nepal, you get a great service in the middle of Thamel for a good price.

Thanks for the good service and I hope we'll meet again in the future !

Comments: Dear Gyan

We would like to thank you again for making our April Annapurna Trek such a memorable experience.

Myself and my two friends were new to Nepal and had no experience of Himalaya trekking, but your efficient and friendly organisation of the transport arrangements, hotel & teahouse accommodation and the guide/porters, resulted in us having no problems at all. You also arranged our mountain flight from Kathmandu at short notice which also was a very enjoyable and impressive exprience.

We would particularly commend our guide Gyanendra who spoke excellent English and looked after us very well. The Annapurna Base Camp trail was very busy but we always found our room waiting for us at the end of the day's walk and our meal was available at the appointed time. Our porters were also great, carrying our bags and sometimes bringing up the rear to make sure we were OK.

I would thoroughly recommend your agency to anyone contemplating a trek in the Himalayas.

David Heppenstall, Blackburn, England.

" In April 2012 myself and two friends from England made a 10 day trek into the Nepalese Annapurna Sanctuary and Gyanendra Karki was our mountain guide for this trip. He also gave us an enjoyable sightseeing tour of Kathmandu prior to the trek and escorted us back there at its conclusion.

I cannot speak to highly of Gyani’s efficient and friendly guiding service which was a major contribution to a great and memorable holiday.

The transport arrangements by road and air were perfectly organized. He reserved the teahouse accommodation perfectly, so even though the route was very busy with trekkers, we never failed to find our room waiting for us at the end of the day’s walk and our meals served at the agreed time (He did not hestitate to go into the teahouse kitchen to make sure the cooks were giving our order priority).

He speaks very good English and gave us good information about the mountains and people and also advised us about safety on the more difficult sections of the trek.

As first-time Nepal trekkers I believe a guide like Gyani is essential to avoid problems."

We were nervous yet excited about the trip but on our first day in Nepal our health took a turn for the worse and we were very close to cancelling our trek. Gyanendra stepped in at that time and helped us be positive and we are glad we followed his advice because the trek was worth it! Gyanendra was a guide who knew the land, the people and had very good judgement. He had very good relationship with the people running the various tea lodges and always ensured that we got the best service. He has a very positive outlook on life and kept us entertained during our trek, pushed us along when we needed it.

Comments: I do want to thank you, Khem, Jit and Gyan with Adventure Treks for all the work you all did to make my trip trekking in Nepal a wonderful experience. The EBC trek was inspiring even with the difficulties I had at altitude. What made it worthwhile was the knowledge that Khem and Jit were working to find a way that would be safe and would work with my situation. Khem did a wonderful job with the Tea House arrangements and meal planning. Even found out he could cook.

Going trekking to the Annapurna region from Pokhara was an added bonus. Trekking with you gave me a better understanding of the lives of the people in this majestic setting. Thank you for taking the time to instruct me on the Hindu and Buddhist religious sites, festivals and practices. I enjoyed knowing more about the welcoming people we met.

Firstly I would like to thank you for a truly wonderful, memorable holiday in Nepal and Bhutan. Bhutan was magical - everything on the tour was smooth as clockwork, the guide excellent and enthusiastic, and the country lends to its own mystery and wonder! Nepal is a totally different experience but I am so glad we went. Aside from a couple of days in Pokhara where there wasnt much for us to do, due to the off-season, we were captivated every day. Our guide (his name escapes me) on our last 3 days was excellent and Nagarkot was the perfect way of ending the tour - what a wonderful place and exhilarating view!

I really appreciate your efforts in organising and I hope we can travel with you again.

Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Comments: I am sending you this mail to thank Wildguanabana (Adventure Treks Nepal) for professionally organizing the Nepal trip.

The things we liked:

01: Our guide, Gani, is excellent. He is professional, polite, knowledgeable, helpful and "light". We strongly recommend him in all your trips to Nepal.

02: The hotel Mandala is very nice. The people are helpful and the rooms are quite nice and clean. Great value for money

03: The logistics including transportation as well as sight seeing places were great

04: Nepal is a great destination and a Must see.

Things we could improve:

01: The rafting was a bit lenient for our adventure taste. We were looking at a rating of 4+.
02: I would exclude Chitwan and replace it with Pokhara.

"The extra part of the trip was fantastic. Pokhara is amazing and we had a great time in the mountain.

Comments: We contacted adventure trek nepal as they were recommended on the lonelyplanet trekking guide. On our request we got
a lot of helpful information in order to plan a trekking schedule according to our personal needs. We appreciated that it was possible to organize a trip for us as a couple only. we already got a warm welcome in the aiport and a first introduction to Nepal and the trekking in the hotel. After some days in Katmandu we went to EVerest region. OUr flight was cancelled the first day, but we got full support from the agency to get an accomodation for an additional night in Katmandu and more important a new flight the next day.

OUr guide in the mountain - Khim - was always helpful and we always felt save with him. During the trekking it was possibile to modify without any problem the before defined schedule in order to fit better our needs. We appreciated very much Kim's help for all our small and bigger problems. Thank you also to Upendra our porter who had always a smile for us. Back to Katmandu we made a guided tour to the major attractions. We spent a very interesting day discovering a lot about Katmandu and Nepal.
We enjoyed the tour in italian with Bhuwan.

After three weeks of vacation we had to take our flight back to Italy but it was really amazing experience!

Comments: My trek to Everest Base camp with the group was an adventure of a lifetime! Both the guide (Lalit) and porter (Ram) were really good guys and made us feel at ease with the task in hand. I have done tours in the past when the lead guide has not been good and having such a great set up on this trip reminded me how important it is to have good people as part of your experience. The route and accommodation were all perfect and I think the overall cost of the tour was pretty good value .

Comments: Gyanendra,

Happy New Year. Hope your treks are going to plan and all's well. All good here - I start my new job on Monday so it's all go to get ready for that! The end of our long holiday but the start of the next adventure !

Now we owe you and Gyan a review:

You always take a chance when faced with so much choice with regard to trekking in Nepal. However, our hunch that the team at Adventure Treks Nepal was going to look after us was proved unequivocally right.

From the outset, friendly, informative, and helpful communication built a package that exactly matched our requirement, and all at a reasonable price. Emails were replied to promptly, and always with useful answers to the questions we asked (and we asked a lot!). They inspired confidence.

Travel to Pokhara went without any hassle, and the hotel recommended by Gyan and his team was spot on in terms of location. In Lakeside, but tucked away enough to be able to escape the insanity...

Gyanendra, our guide, was friendly and even at our first meeting his smile, enthusiasm and sense of humour were infectious. Using his vast experience of trekking in the Annapurna region, he guided us through a detailed programme which took a much more intuitive route up to and back from ABC. We knew at this point that the whole experience was going to be ace!

We were blessed by epic weather, but more so by having such hospitable and friendly hosts. Gyanendra was super-perceptive to our desires, and Man, our porter, a complete star. Gyanendra has an inbuilt ability to join in and leave you to it in exactly the right proportion, and is full of anecdotes, information and fun. A brilliant guide who deserves his reputation.

The route he designed worked like clockwork - a clockwise route taking in Poon Hill before the highlight of ABC itself. A logical way to see the best bits last. Watch out for his enthusiasm for downhill though! ABC to Chomrong in one day was really hard on the knees!

We walked a bit quicker than anticipated, and arrived back in Pokhara with a day to spare. No problems, Gyanendra had listened to our prattlings about our passion for all things bicycles, and suggested that we tour the other bits of the city not by foot or taxi, but by bike. Attention to detail like that is priceless, and it was of course a great adventure !

With 3 days to spare before we had to be back in Kathmandu, Gyanendra recommended a trip to Chitwan National Park. Again, he didn't disappoint, and organised a brilliant 3-day-2-night trip encompassing all the best bits of this very understated but brilliant safari location. Once back in Kathmandu, the team had yet again come up trumps with accommodation, and remained on hand to offer advice about activities and so on if we wanted.

All in all, a faultless service by Adventure Treks Nepal. Well done Gyanendra, Gyan and of course the ever dependable Man! We'd recommend them to anyone thinking of doing something similar.

For info, our itinerary was:

Fly KTM to Pokhara
1 day in Pokhara
10 day trek to ABC with guide and porter
2 days in Pokhara (including cycle tour)
3 days, 2 nights in Chitwan National Park
4 days in Kathmandu (no guiding, but the hotel was arranged by the team)

Gyanendra, please feel free to put this on your website and use our names or any pictures! Additionally, I'll try to get it onto Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree Forum.

All the very best from us both, and more photos to follow from Sarah shortly!

Annapurna Circuit & Base Camp Trekking 30 Dec2012.

Comments: We decided to make an unusual honeymoon in Nepal, with the goal of finishing the Annapurna Circuit Trekking in the most cold period of the year (first three weeks of January 2013). We got in touch with the agency Adventure Treks Nepal (by email prior our arrival). When we arrived in Kathmandu's airport, two big marygold necklaces from the agency manager Gyan welcomed us warmly, like in movies!

Our trek started in Beshishar. From the beginning, we realized that we could accelerate our trek (though we knew in mountains one should not rush) and therefore we saved some days quickly. Our guide Sangam Shrestha has been very flexible to make and suggest changes from our program. When we arrived in Manang (three days before our plan), the guide suggested to take a bus from Muktinath to Tatopani in order to have a number of days enough to do the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The ABC was completely out of our mind/program. Of course we did not know whether we could do that in time but our guide said we could. This has been really a substantial change in our program that made our experience more wonderful. In fact, we enjoyed ABC trek very much. We thank again the guide and the porter for having suggested that. Our porter, Birash (hopefully it's written like this), who is definitely a phenomenon physically, accepted very well this extension. The four of us shared moments together that we will not forget. Having hired both a guide and a porter, it has been instructive to know the culture of people from Nepal. As last thing, I am celiac and I could arrange to have gluten-free food (at least rice, eggs and potatoes are everywhere).

We could not have a better honeymoon, for sure !

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking with Chitwan National park 29 Dec 2012.

Comments: We would like to highly recommend Adventure Treks and in particular ourguide, Gyanendra Karki. Adventure Treks arranged our itinerary in Nepal with great attention to our needs and wishes. The owner, Gyan Karki, welcomed us at the airport and ensured that we were settled in our hotel. He also acted as a guide for an unscheduled tour of parts of the City.

Loise X 03 Pax (British+Canada)

Our guide, Gyanendra, met us in Pokhara. He had acted as a guide for Lois on a previous trek. Throughout our time in Pokhara, on the Gorephani-Poon Hill Trek, while at the Royal Chitwan National Park and then back in Kathmandu, he made sure that our experience was exceptional. He helped us along the trail by being sensitive to the pace of our party, to our constant questioning about Nepal, and made certain that food and accommodation was available at appointed stops on the way. The trek was all that we had wished. The nights were cold and the need to eat and sleep while dressed in our warmest clothing was somewhat unexpected, but Gyanendra kept our spirits up, encouraged us when needed and delighted us with his sense of humour. The two porters, Sandesh and Ram carried their loads with good humour and kept us company on the way. In the National Park Gyanendra made sure that we had a guide that knew the birds as well as the animals, which was very important to Paul. Although he had walked the same trails many times before, he participated in the experience with us. Our New Year's eve together at the Fishtail Lodge in Pokhara was memorable.

Adventure Treks also, very efficiently, made alternative arrangements for us to return to Kathmandu, as flights were cancelled due to poor weather in the National Park, so that we could catch our flights to leave Nepal.

We recommend Adventure Treks very highly and with no reservations.

Paul Gully and Lois Leslie (Vancouver, Canada)

Dear Gyan,

I recently returned from an amazing visit to Nepal with two family members. Our trip was well planned by your company to meet our needs and time constraints. You met us at the airport and guided us round Kathmandu, you also kindly met us when we returned from our trek to Kathmandu.

We were met in Pokhara by our guide Gyanendra who proved to be an excellent, knowledgeable experienced guide who was attentive to our needs and requirements throughout. During our trek we were well looked after by Gyanendra and also our porters Sunash and Ram, all were also excellent company. Gyanendra also gave us an informative tour around Pokhara and Kathmandu and was able to answer all our questions.

I would happily recommend your company to friends thinking of visiting Nepal after our memorable visit.
