Panch Pokhari Trekking

Panch Pokhari TrekA fairly easy, but quite high reaching trek to the sacred lakes of Panch Pokhari. The route follows a ridge trail most of the way, giving a fairly steady rise in altitude over a relatively short period. The ridge behind our highest campsite at Panch Pokhari offers some remarkable view of Darje Lakpa(2320ft) which remains unconquered until now and seen from this vantage point, it is easy to understand why. We start with 4 hour scenic drive with magnificent views to Climbing, we reach Maidan (8000ft) with its waterfall. A steep climb through rhododendron forest to Choche (10500ft) is next with an acclimatization day. We climb to Nosem Parti (12000ft) and then to the lakes of Panch Pokhari (14500ft). After climbing the ridge behind the lakes we can enjoy some truly outstanding views. From the lakes we descend to Nosem Parti and Forest Camp. Through paddy fields to Yarsa and then Sermuthong and the Sherpa settlement of Torke Gyong with its impressive Gompa and array of prayer flags. We head south along a ridge trail Via Malemchigaon and Sundarija to Kathmandu.
