Me and my girlfriend spent 16 days in Nepal. It was the first time there.

We booked a trekking trip to Manaslu circuit by mail. Gyan has been really kind from the beginning. He always answered fastly to our questions and adjusted the journey basing on our needs and requests. Everything was organized perfectly.

The whole team was somewhat more than professional. They were also really friendly and helpful in every situation.

Special thanks to Gyanendra Karki for his excellent work which has allowed us at all times to feel comfortable. Always smiling, is more than a guide! The love for his country and culture was contagious! He took us around Kathmandu, Patan and Bakthapur, showing us beautiful places and curiosities of Nepali lifestyle. We are a group of Norwegian students that had a excellent time trekking the Ghorepani - Poon Hill trekk for 7 days, together with our guide Gyanendra.

I will really recomend Adventure Treks Nepal. They were allways answering our emails really fast, so nice to talk with and really helpful. They made a nice route for us, with beautiful views.

Our guide Gyanendra is always in a good mood, really helpful and made nice suprices for us. We had lots of fun. He has much expirience and found good places for us to stay. Comments: " Ghorepani - Poonhill: Best for beauty ! "

Hiked one amazing week with old (and new) friends in the Annapurna-region. Guide Gyendra customed a hike meeting my groups wishes and physical shape. Ended up trekking Ulleri - Ghorepani - Ghandruk - Tolka - Luwang - Dhampus amongst other places. The highest point we reached during this trek was a bit over 3 000 m, so if you want to break personal records here, this isn't the trip for you. But as our guide so nicely put it; this trek is best for beauty! We got to experience alot of different natural surroundings along the way, which is something I enjoy alot in a hike. Guide Gyendra made sure we also got to experience "the real Nepal" - making food together at "Popluar Tourist Guesthouse" in Tolka with a warm and welcoming family :-)

We were four friends who did a 7 days trek to Poon Hill with Adventure Treks Nepal. We went with the amazing guide Gyanendra and two porters. The trip was well organized and the company was really helpful and easy to cooperate with. I didnt expect this trip to be as fun and beautiful as it ended. Gyanendra, the comedian, had a lot of experience and knowledge and made the trip really special. He also changed the intenary during the trek, so we could experience even more. Comments: "A wonderful trek with Adventure Treks Nepal, my 2nd."

It was the second time I hired Adventure treks Nepal for my trip / hike in Nepal. This time I was in Nepal 28 days and made a total of 23 days hiking. From Jiri to Namche Bazaar on to Gokyo, over Chola pass and on to EBC and then down to Lukla via the "usual" everest trekking trail. Mr Gyan has always responded quickly to my emails and was very helpful in planning the trip, never any problems when I had questions / changes regarding my hiking path. I cannot thank Mr Gyan and his team enough for very nice and good experiences.

I had Mr Dev as the guide / porter and he was very accommodating, nice and always happy. It was no problem when during the hike I wanted to make some changes, among other things I had to make use of a rest day in Gokyo when I felt the height, and I also wanted to take a little longer on my way back, which was within the program, this was no problem at all . These days were a bit like spare days but had a planned program. He always made sure I was happy and good. When we crossed the Chola Pass, the weather became a little worse and it snowed a lot, but I felt safe with Mr Dev. I went by private car from Kathmandu to Jiri and I always experienced that AT hires good drivers and so this time too. I felt calm even on the narrow winding roads to Jiri.

I will with great certainty hire AT again, for the third time, for my next trip to Nepal. Tomas Gothenburg,

We (a couple) did a 6 day Poon Hill trek with Adventure Treks Nepal and it was brilliant! We called in to the office in Thamel, and Gyan organised everything. So easy to deal with. 2 days later we met our guide Jit and porter Derma in Pokhara and began our trek. They were both lovely.

The trek was strenuous but do-able. If we were to go again, I'd make sure I am fitter beforehand, as there are some very steep areas! We just took it at a slower pace. Also we'd add an extra day of free time in ghandruk to explore that area more.

The Mountain Discovery Lodge in Chuile was our favourite teahouse along the route.

We loved our trek, unreal views, and a great 6 days ! Aida and Noel

Everest Base Camp Trekking 20 Apr 2019. Comments: "Trekking to Mount Everest BC"

This was the first time i ever took an adventure of this sort, didn't even know what poles are or why on earth do i need trekking shoes or a backpack to protect my back. The hike to the base camp took approx. 2 weeks, from the onset AT team were punctual, professional and friendly (I felt safe) – you can tell, they love what they do. My guide, Ramesh Sunuwawr was extremely patient, always smiling and did his best to cater to any requests i may have - so thank you Ramesh so much :-) The hike to the BC was not easy for me but it was worth every minute. I will always remember the wonderful people i met along the way, the breathtaking scenery (you’re after all in the Himalayas), the energy in Kathmandu and the gorgeous sunrise on Mount Everest from Kala Patthar. I can't recommend AT enough, not simply because they are good at what they do but also because you'll feel like family. So do like I did, drop your smart phone, forget your emails and the calls, buy some trekking shoes and a couple of poles and get to know what it means to be a part of nature. Ramy

Island Peak Climbing (Summited) 17 April 2019.

We are So happy with Adventure Treks Nepal and Highly recommend them! This was our third trip that we arranged through Gyan, after fantastic experiences with the Everest Base Camp trek and the Manaslu circuit trek.

Our main objective, this time, was to climb Island Peak (6,189 M). I am 61 years old and my wife 56. Obviously, this puts us in an older age group than those that usually climbing this peak. Gyan was very accommodating to that fact. He also customized our itinerary so that we could stay in our favorite towns along the way.

We had our favorite Sherpa, Sangam, with us again. As always, he was fantastic and we could never say enough about how great he is! He did everything to help us reach our goal. He even went back down to base camp after the trek up to Crampon Point, got some snacks and hot tea and met us back at Crampon Point to celebrate our success with us.

Gyan arranged for our excellent climbing guide, Delipe. It was very reassuring having him with us on Island Peak, considering he had just guided climbers up Lotse. He was so knowledgeable and had the perfect climbing pace for us. We left Basecamp at 1:00 AM and summited at 7:45 AM. (My wife had to wait 15 minutes just below the summit for me to catch up, so we could summit together.)

Most likely if you are reading this, you are considering your first trip. We had lots of concerns and questions years ago and can assure you that Gyan, Sangam and Adventure Treks Nepal will take care of everything and you will have a fantastic trip. They are the best on the mountain! In our two previous trekking trips, it became obvious to us how important it is to be with a knowledgeable and experienced company. Over the years, we have observed other groups with substandard guides and have been so happy that we went with such a seasoned and experienced company. Now with climbing rather than just trekking, again we find that Adventure Treks Nepal was fantastic. Not all groups who attempt Island Peak are successful. It is comforting to know that we had everything possible from our guides to support us. My wife said it was the hardest physical thing she has ever done, but also one of the most rewarding!! Comments: "Amazing trek to ABC with Poon Hill"

I booked my trip directly from Italy through a big Italian travel agency, which relies on Adventure Treks Nepal for organising treks across Nepal. It was my first time trekking there and AT did an amazing job at planning everything and took excellent care of me. The trek itself, ABC, was amazing. The best landscape I have ever seen in my life, especially the final part left me speechless. The overall journey, going from rural Nepali areas, through the rain forest and up to the snowy Annapurna base camp, is so unique. It really is a trip of a lifetime. The lodges along the way are very nice and food is really good too.

Dev, my guide, was very professional and knowledgeable of the surrounding mountains and Nepali traditions. He made sure I was all fine and was always happy to meet any of my requests. He was also very friendly so that 10 days of trekking with him alone were very enjoyable. Bhuwan, my contact with AT, was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. He contacted me a few times during my trip prior to starting the trek just to make sure I was all fine in Nepal. He even helped change one of my flights and helped around Katmandu, although this was all extra to the trek. I couldn't thank him enough. In the future I would like to do EBC and will definitely contact AT again. I couldn't be happier with the trek itself and the service AT provided. Comments: We had a great start from the airport pick up to Thamel Hotel and rested for 2 days, the arrangement was superb. Thanks to Mr Gyan and his team.

The trekking started very well with highly experienced guide Jit, patiently guiding our team and with excellent refreshment and carefully selecting the pit stops for lunch. Porters was doing great job, all our bags were delivered without any damage and on time. very well planned trekking days and adequate rest for all of us. the scenery was superb and we all had so much time to take nice photos and it was wonderful. You will be able to meet so many people from various countries and cultures, with ONLY one goal in mind, to reach the final destination and it was the Guide and Porters hard work and our slow pace of trekking finally we reached EBC.

We had such a good experience with Adventure treks, trekking to Nagarkot. They were easy to contact and they were knowledgeable about what the best option would be for us (we wanted to do a short 2 day 1 night trek from Kathmandu). It was all very easy to rearrange. The trek itself was great. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the beginning in comfy transport (private car) and returned the same. Gyanendra was an exceptional guide. I hadn't been very well before our tour but didn't want to say anything - he noticed straight away that I was struggling and insisted on carrying my bag the whole time (I don't think I would've been able to do the trek if he hadn't), and made sure we went at the pace I needed. He was very knowledgeable about his job and we felt very comfortable. I would definitely trust him to guide me in a more difficult trek as he was very experienced. He gave us different routes for the second day so we could choose what was best for us. He also was very enthusiastic about giving us the best experience - ensuring to summon us quickly for the rooftop view of the sunset and himalayas from the hotel when they came out! Gyan Karki is the tour operator at Adventure treks Nepal and very passionate about his company. We wanted to cover a lot in our 2 week holiday

and Gyan spent many hours communicating with us to get the details sorted. Everything was so well organized once we arrived – we felt like very important guests not tourists the whole trip.

Our trip covered Kathmandu; Pokhara; Chitwan ; Nagarkot and Bardia. We had excellent accommodation and 3 excellent guides. In Chitwan Aasish Regmi got us up close to two rhinos and made the 2 day trip a blast.

In Bardia the “tigerman “ Sitaram lived up to his name and we came face to face with the beautiful jungle cat,and in Kathmandu Gyanendra Karki made the temples come alive with his stories and historical knowledge.

Gyanendra also took us on our Nagarkot trip and throughout the two weeks he stayed in contact ; making sure all runs smoothly. Even when we were in Pokhara he sent us some information and recommendations.

This was our 2nd trekking adventure in Nepal with Gyan and Adventure Treks Nepal and we can absolutely recommend these guys.

We organized everything direct with Gyan and as before, all our questions and concerns were responded to quickly and professionally with Gyan tailoring the well priced itinerary for my husband and I.

Even when we had delays with customs arriving in Kathmandu Gyan was still waiting for us, remembering us from our previous Annapurna Circuit trek years ago.
This nearly 3 ½ week trek is in a fairly remote area and was physically and mentally very challenging, but the service, patience and friendliness of both Sangam (our guide) and Purna (porter) enabled us to have a fantastic time. We trekked at our own pace as it was just the 4 of us and with extra contingency days, we had some flexibility for side trips, exploring and rest.

We passed very close to the epicentre of the 2015 earthquake and we could still see the damage and rebuilding and trail diversions. (We were in Pokhara when the earthquake struck in 2015). There were some quite difficult and steep sections and we crossed a few dangerous landslide areas but again Sangam and Purna were there every step of the way to make sure our crossings were safe.

It was well worth including the Tsum Valley to see some Tibetan culture and local people including an amazing monastery at 3700m. The terrain in this part was quite different with narrow rocky steep tracks following the river and it also helped with acclimatization for the rest of the Manaslu trek.

Tea houses are a lot more basic on this trek than others (most with shared bathrooms) but as Sangam knew many tea houses, always managed to find us good rooms, with charging facilities and some form of power, checked hot water showers were available and working, organized meal (and ginger lemon honey tea) orders and Purna was ever helpful delivering the drinks and meals. Generally wifi was quite expensive and slow however in the Tsum Valley there was virtually no reception.

Sangam got us through with his excellent knowledge of the terrain, advice and much patience, always doing his best for us. We were updated each evening on what to expect the next day, and, invariably, it was uphill, downhill and more uphill! Average trekking days were 5-8hrs except for the pass which was around 10hrs. Even though Purna did not speak English very well, he was always smiling and helping out, and making sure our luggage arrived safely each day.

We made sure to leave by 7am most mornings when the skies were clear so we could arrive at our destination early enough to explore and take good photos before the skies invariably clouded over. The weather was terrific except for the pass crossing where it snowed most of the day – got some great photos though. This trek has some of the most spectacular mountain scenery around.

My husband also did the long hard day trip to Manaslu base camp, approx. 4400m, which was probably the most physically challenging and exhausting thing he has done, but he returned happy as he had the best help around. This whole area is becoming more popular and we saw many new teahouses under construction - don’t leave it too long to visit.

Gyan and his team are very well organized and once again gave us a very memorable experience. Frances and Rob

We did the Everest Base Camp trek with Adventure Treks Nepal. Mr. Gyan is very fast at replying to emails and inquiries prior to the trip and took care of all logistics. Our flight into Lukla was delayed due to cloudy weather and Gyan was able to arrange for helicopter flight, saving us valuable time and hassle. When we returned to Lukla late in the morning, Gyan was able to get us on a last minute flight back to Kathmandu instead of waiting until the next morning for our scheduled flights. Overall the logistical support is excellent.

Our guide Ramesh was funny and very knowledgeable, highly recommended. The walking pace was just about right for our group and this is very important at high altitude. One has to find the appropriate pace for oneself and not trying to keep up with the fastest member in the group.

One thing future clients can do to improve their experience is asking about the specific tea houses that they will be staying at. Adventure Treks Nepal uses the same tea houses along the EBC route. Most are decent quality. However, in Dingboche we stayed at the Lucky Hotel where our room wall is paper thin and the rooms became very cold at night. We saw other tea houses with sturdier construction such as the Summit Hotel. In Lobuche we stayed at the Alpine Home where the room walls are thicker and the rooms were much warmer at night. That made a huge difference. You can research the tea houses in Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Thyangboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep and ask for the best ones, if possible.

We upgraded to 5 star hotel while in Kathmandu and were put up at the Yak/Yeti hotel. The hotel looks fancy and in a great location. However, the rooms were rather old, unworthy of the 5 star rating. Wifi was not free. If you are thinking of upgrading to 5 star hotel, consider another hotel (the Hyatt is great).

Overall we were very happy with Adventure Treks Nepal. Chuong

We went to Nepal form October 30th to November 23rd 2019 with Adventure Treks Nepal. We really enjoyed having a personalized itinerary. The tour had two aspects, a cultural component and a trekking tour at the Annapurna Sanctuary. We very much enjoyed having our private guide for the duration of the stay. The trekking took place at our own pace and the views are spectacular in the beautiful Annapurna Sanctuary. The cultural tour made us discover Kathmandu and its suburbs, the countryside, the Nepalese culture, their way of life and their great spirituality. There is also a lot of work to rebuild following the earthquake in 2015. Thanks to Goan for organizing our stay, to Bhuwan our guide and to Purna our porter. It was a wonderful unforgettable trip.

We booked a 12 day Anapurna Base Camp trek with Adventure Trekking. After vetting a great number of trekking companies we opted for this company over others because of good reviews, and having spoken with Gyan, the owner, he confirmed that the company was committed to sustainable tourism and being a fair and ethical employer to guides and porters. It was a wise decision to choose this company as our trip was excellent. Ramesh (our guide) was very friendly, attentive and super professional. He made organising everything look so easy. He was extremely kind and hospitable. Checking that hot water showers worked at tea houses, getting us seated in tea houses after a long trek and taking tea orders (Hot ginger and lemon ) and food orders. We did actually do some trekking as well as eating and drinking tea! You really feel looked after by Ramesh as if by a friend. His approach of briefing us daily on the plan for the following day removed any apprehension we might have had or complications that we could have encountered on the trek. It gave us such a nice start to each day as we knew what to expect. Ramesh was always happy to answer questions about the region, his previous experiences, Nepalese culture and his personal life. Also, he was happy to walk in silence or chat to our porter Bishnu. Bishnu was very nice, friendly and helpful. He didn't speak English but we had a few conversations with him through Ramesh which created a team atmosphere.

The tea houses that Ramesh booked for us were all adequate. Some had real charm to them and seemed very authentic. It was also nice that Ramesh has a rapport with some of the tea house owners being ones that the company usually books with. One tea house was not as nice as the others we had stayed at during the previous day's but generally we were impressed with the good levels of accommodation in such a remote area. It also seemed like Ramesh always pushed for us to have the best room avaliable. The food in all the tea houses was great. "Dhal bat power 24 hour!" Remarkably, even the western dishes were much better than I expected!

The trek itself was varied, strenuous but perfectly manageable if you have some multi day trekking experience and motivation. There are stairs... be prepared to get very friendly with these stairs... in a way you might never have to date or may never will again in the future. The many stairs are worth it. Just stretch out those legs of yours for a bit in the morning and you'll be fine. The views were really beautiful.

The day after leaving Annapurna base camp I was unable to continue the remaining two days of the trek due to an injury. Ramesh and Gyan were so supportive and arranged for us to travel back by jeep from the nearest possible location. Gyan also kept in touch to check on my recovery! I would thoroughly recommend adventure trekking and I'm sure I'll return to Nepal and book another trip with them in the future.

Pro tip - If you plan to do ABC be aware that it starts to get quite cold from the beginning of December.

This is the second time I've used Adventure Treks Nepal (ATN) for a trek. Gyan, the owner of ATN, is fantastic. He pays attention to detail and constantly works to make sure that your trek is going well. As an example, my daughter and I got on an earlier flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (it left one hour earlier than our scheduled flight). We expected to have to wait for Gyan at the airport for an hour. Instead, Gyan was there waiting for us. He had contacted the airline about our flight status and learned that we had left earlier. This is just one example of how Gyan works to make your trek enjoyable. My guides and porters have been great.
