Our trip to Nepal and Bhutan was amazing. You and all the guides, drivers and porters did a fantastic job covering all our needs and wishes from the moment we were picked up at the airport to the moment we were returned to the airport.

There are no words to describe Bhutan and our stay there was really fantastic. The trek to the Tiger's Nest monastery was a once in a lifetime experience. We also got a glimse into Bhutan's cultural life by taking part in the ParoTshechu Festival.

The tours in Kathmandu were so insightful and we experienced a new culture and people. We learned so much along our journey about hinduism and buddhism when we visited temples, stupas and sacred sites. The Ghorepani trek was a perfect short beautiful journey in the Annapurna region. I'm already looking forward to explore other hiking trails in the same area.

Excellent Family Experience We just completed a 10 day trek of ABC with ATN. We are a family of five from Australia (kids 14, 16, 19). ATN was excellent with communication and advice prior to the trek. Overall they are a very professional and trustworthy company. The highlight for us was the fantastic guides (Anuj) and assistant (Peranya). They are just good humans who were always upbeat and able to bond with the kids and keep their spirits high (even if things got difficult). Everyday is leg day in Nepal, so expect a lot of steep steps and varied terrain. From talking to other travellers, ABC seems like the pick of the treks to experience a range of landscapes (forest, villages, snow cap mountains) and local culture. Happy travels.

Comments: I completed the Annapurna base camp trek with my family over 10 days and it was the best holiday I ever experienced. The views were incredible and felt like an amazing accomplishment by the end of it. I would say the main thing that really got everyone through was the porters and tour guides. They provided us with incredible service and were super involved with all of us. They always had a great chat with us and were very helpful and understanding when we had tough days. Every night we were given some background on Nepal’s history or some of the temples we saw that day. After dinner our porters would give us a plate of fresh cut up fruit they had carried for us the whole way. Our guides would play a variety of card games with us each day and my brothers and I would teach them magic tricks. Even though some of the places weren’t as luxurious our porters and guides made the experience incredible and super enjoyable for my family and I. Comments: Overall, we had a magnificent experience, and everything was very well organized by Adventure Trek Nepal — from the moment we were picked up at the airport until we left two weeks later.

Our guide and porters did an excellent job. While it's not particularly challenging to find the right path, it was incredibly convenient to have someone who knew the area and took care of all the planning, accommodation bookings, food, etc. In addition, our guide very generously shared his knowledge not only about the trek itself but also about Nepal in a broader context — which really added a lot of value!

We completed the trek in 10 days, with a couple of days in Kathmandu and Pokhara on either side. Although it’s possible to finish the ABC trek more quickly, it was clear that the route and planning had been carefully thought out.

This is one of these Treks that are off the beaten path. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I've enjoyed this trip so much. Another point to consider is, that in this occasion I travelled with a group of friends instead of by myself. We did a good choice when we booked this trip with Adventure Treks Nepal. If you are lucky and everything goes smooth sailing then maybe it doesn't matter which agency you book with, but if, as it sometimes happens your trip goes wrong, then is when a reliable agency come in handy. To begin with, one of the team members got a excruciating back pain and had to be rescued by helicopter, later another team member caught a bad cold and had to be descended to the nearest lodge when trying to reach the summit. In both situations, first Mr. Gyan (the manager) and Mr. Jeet (our mountain guide) come in very helpful in dealing with all the inconveniences. Apart from these troubles we have had a enjoyable trip, had a lot of fun, and a great deal of good lifelong memories.

The first trek went really well with ATN, so I decided to go back with Anuj for a new mountain adventure. I opted for a combined Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal trek.

I can't find the right words to describe this experience that I will, for sure, never forget.

Between the harshness of the mountain, the breathtaking beauty, the spirituality that reigns in these places, everything was there.

During this trek we laughed, suffered (a little bit), ate well, saw holly mountains, lush forests straight out of "Avatar", glimpsed white-headed monkeys, and dogs, horses, donkeys and many other wonders...

Once again, I salute and thank Anuj infinitely for his mountain experience, his good humor and for allowing me to know that I was capable of exceeding my limits.

I can only recommend you to do this adventure with a guide as professional and friendly as Anuj.

I did a solo Everest Three Passes hike with Adventure Trek Nepal using just one guide/porter, and it was fantastic. My guide and the company were incredibly prepared to deal with everything planned and unplanned, dealing with unforeseen/unusual weather, flight changes, and all of my questions/concerns. The communication before and during the trek was amazing, responsive, and helpful. My guide, Dev, spoke great English, was super positive despite the difficulty of the trip, and was great company. The company helped me rent a super warm sleeping bag, supplied duffel bags, and some necessary gear, like crampons, making a less “comfortable” trip much easier than it otherwise would have been. I ended up finishing earlier than anticipated, and they were able to rebook my flights so I could get home a couple of days earlier than originally planned. My highlights were Kalapattar for sunset and the first high mountain pass on Kong Ma La. The views were absolutely unparalleled and I felt it was beyond worth it and nexsssary to do the three passes (versus just EBC) to escape crowds and see the raw nature. I can’t imagine and would not recommend using any other company for this sort of trek! Can’t wait to come back to visit this amazing country.

I had a fantastic experience with Adventure Treks Nepal! I went on the Three Passes Trek from late October into mid November as a solo trekker. It was an unforgettable experience, made even better by the friendly, professional, and competent folks at Adventure Treks Nepal.

My principal contact at AT was Gyan, who ensured that all the relevant hotels, drivers, tours, flights, luggage storage, and guides were booked in advance. The only part of the trip I had to arrange was the international airfare. Everything else was taken care of. Gyan was even waiting for me when I landed at KTM, and personally saw to checking me into my hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and centrally located in the Thamel (tourist) district of Kathmandu.

From there, I had a day long guided tour of the highlights of Kathmandu. My guide was very knowledgeable about the history of each site. We very easily covered more ground in a more informative way than I'd have ever been able to arrange myself. This was an additional experience that Adventure Treks offered for an additional fee, and was worth every penny.

Early following morning, my trek started. I was introduced to my porter and guide, Dev, and we set off. All in all, the trek was 17 days. Due to some inclement weather at the beginning, we ended up skipping the first of the three passes, but otherwise, the trip went very smoothly. There really aren't words to describe the beauty of the area. I'm from a mountainous region of Canada, and have a lot of experience in the hills, but was still left speechless more times than I could count.

If you want to see as much of Sagarmatha Park as possible, I can't recommend the Three Passes Trek enough. It'll give you a terrific crash course of the region. Anytime the trek's route matched up with the Everest Base Camp trek, the trails and tea houses were pretty busy (I went during high season, so this was to be expected). Once the trek moved away from EBC, things were very quiet and relaxed.

Dev is quite obviously a seasoned guide. In addition to carrying most of my gear (as well as his own), he provided endless insights into the history, geography, and culture of the region. He made sure we always had accommodations reserved, and was very good at checking in regularly to make sure I was eating/drinking/sleeping well at elevation. I couldn't have asked for a better companion on the trek.

Upon my return to Kathmandu, Gyan helped to arrange shipping some of my trekking gear back to Canada to make my further travels easier to manage. On my last day in Nepal, he took me to a traditional Thakali restaurant for lunch, and accompanied me to the airport to catch my flight.

I'm very glad to have chosen Adventure Treks Nepal for this trip. They weren't the cheapest option I could find, but it was important to me to use a company that is Nepali owned and operated and provides insurance and fair pay to its guides and porters.
