(Annapurna Base Camp ) January 12-5 2009.

Comments: Hi Gyan – just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team at Adventure Treks Nepal – we had a fantastic time in Nepal and really appreciate how very smoothly everything went. Gyanedra was fabulous. We had so much fun and no hassles at all – even the Flight was cancelled in Pokhara was a non-event for us because you arranged transportation for us to Kathmandu. so we had a full day there and that was perfect – massages, shopping and lots of sitting around !

It's a crazy beautiful place and we loved every minute of being there – even the four trillion steps we climbed daily! Cheers and thanks again.

(Culture Tour ) January 24-27 2009.

George and Beryl StarkeComments: We flew to Kathmandu from New Dehli January 24, 2009 after we finished a two week Tour of India. Our Tour of India was somewhat disappointing primarily because we did notcare for our guide. Because we were the only ones on the tour with just a driver and guide, the two weeks at times, seemed never to be coming to an end. What a nice surprisewhen we were met at Kathmandu airport by the friendly smiling faces of Gyan Karki and his driver Icci. They treated us "old codgers" with respect and both had impeccablemanners always hastening to open the car doors for us.

We had four days in Kathmandu and surrounding towns that were just packed full of interesting sights. The Buddist Shrine Swyambhunath , Durbar square, were justsome of the many special places visited in Kathmandu. Patan City and Bhaktapur Cityoutside Kathmandu showed us another side to Nepal. One special interest for us wasour visit to the crematorium and the exciting flight over Mount Everest.

Gyan treated us like royalty even bringing us home to his house to meet his wonderful wife Anita and two sons. We had the wonderful comfort in driving around in a roomy well kept 1972 Mercedes car. Icci was a good safe driver.

We stayed at the Hotel Shanker which at one time was a palace. Our accommodation was very comfortable and the meals appealing. It is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and swimming pool. Close enough to walk to shopping in our free time or take a rickshaw ride with the friendly driver who is always posted out by the gates to the Shanker hotel.

We would certainly recommend that if you are planning to visit Nepal you arrange a tour with Gyan through Aventure Treks Nepal (P.) Ltd. Our son-law referred him to us and our daughter is planned to book him for her trip to Nepal in October 09. You will have a memorable time.
We plan to return some day ,

Yous Sincerely,
George and Beryl Starke

Comments: "I had the most amazing time! The company was so professional from start to finish. The people are the kindest and most generous I have ever met. I didn't want to leave the country and wish I had booked a longer trip."

04: Jeff Ward and Friends - from Australia
(Annapurna Ghorepani Trekking/ Rafting/ Chitwan National Park) Australia April 02-April 20 2009.

Comments: When I looked into booking a trip to Nepal recently I was confronted with many agencies offering their expertise. When 'Lonely Planet' gave 'Adventure Treks Nepal' a recommendation I thought that was enough for me and they were correct.

Gyan would always reply to my emails quickly and efficiently no matter what the question was. Upon arrival everything was taken care of. The trek was wonderful and our guide and porter were much more than just that they became our friends.

I would have no hesitation in recommending 'Adventure Treks Nepal' they made our trip into much more than just a holiday. From the driver, guides, all the accommodation even the special dinner at the end were wonderful. Thank you for a great time.

I would be happy to answer any questions regarding this company.

Gyanendra is really a marvelous guide, both in Kathmandu and in Jomson where he took us on a trek up to Muktinath that we will neverforget. His skills in nature, tradition and religion made our journey a very interesting and learning time. Besides his knowledge he is a very nice and warm person, always putting the wellness of the client first. Wealways felt very safe and relaxed with his leadership.

Our warmest thanks for everything you did for us. We had a wonderful time in Nepal!

Comments: The overall experience was beyond expectations ! It was a most enjoyable adventure that was well planned by the team at Adventure Treks and our guide. We were very well taken care of every step of the way.

Weare very impressed with the level of efficiency of the entire Adventure Treks Team. They were prompt and met all of our needs – from greeting us when we first arrived at Kathmandu to the time of our departure – it was almost door-to-door service! Our time in Nepal was made special because everything just went so well and smoothly. We were briefed thoroughly ahead of time and so were mentally prepared for the journey.

Comments: "Impeccable service in Kathmandu, even when we changed plans at the last minute. Our every need was accommodated. Similar service in Pokhara. Gyanendra our trek guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were looked after very well at each stop with great service. Even when I walked slowly I never felt rushed. The hotels we stayed in appeared to be the best choice in each Village. Staff in hotels were friendly. We were happy with the itinerary and appreciated Gyan's help. Overall a great service. We will recommend Adventure Treks Nepal to anyone. Thank you for a great experience!"

Comments: Gyanendra was introduced to us by a very good friend of ours who strongly recommended Gyanendra as a very good trekking guide. We were not clear then if Gyanendra or his agency could provide equally good sightseeing schedules. After exchanges of emails we decided to use them as our agency in Nepal

Our trip to Nepal in April was very enjoyable. The trip was tougher than we expected. We experienced some unique situation like regional strikes. We were able to prevent all potential delays/obstables because of the advance and quick readjustments of Gyanendra. He was well aware of the local situation and provided us with the best of services.

We found their assistance very helpful and we planned to use them again in our next trip to Buttan/Shikim.

We believe Gyanendra and his agency could be very helpful in planning trip to their area. Because of the range of activities available, detail requirements should be well communicated in advance to ensure the best arrangement.

12: Anina and Friend - from Poland
Glipse Of Everest Trekking in March 23-30. 2009.

Anina 0X 2 Pax Comments: The decision to have our trek with Adventure Treks Nepal was the best choice without any doubt. We had "Glimpse of Everest Trekking" with Tengboche ( 3867 m) as the highest point, but when we were strong enough we've got a proposal to walk even higher and we've reached Dingboche with its 4410 m!

Everything was organized perfectly from the beginning to the end. We'd start from e-mailing and were surprised with the quick answers from Gyan. He'd arranged everything for us and when we'd come to Nepal we had a meeting with him and our guide Gyanendra.

We 'd started our trek on the next day from the flight to Lukla and trek to Jorsalle.

On the second day we'd reached Namche Bazaar and we must tell that the acclimatization was perfectly done there. After the one day of weakness in Namche on the next day we were walking like the mountain goats as our guide had promised earlier.

During the trek we had three meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner, which we were able to chose ourselves from the menu. And after each dinner we were given fruits prepared by our guide - could you imagine- he'd even brought it into my room when I was a little bit sick!!!

Our trek was simply perfect with its stunning views and very good accommodation - as always as it was possible our guide has organized for us a room with a bathroom which was not extra paid.

Our guide and porter were so nice and helpful people, so it was real pleasure to spend with them those days.

The whole trek was an amazing experience . We dream about coming back to Nepal and to Himalayas and we are sure to have the next trek with Gyan and his Adventure Treks Nepal!

Thank You, Ania & Krzysztof

Comments: Decyzja o trekkingu z Adventure Treks Nepal by?a bez w?tpienia najlepszym wyborem, jakiego mogli?my dokona?. Zdecydowali?my si? na "Glimpse of Everest Trekking" z najwy?szym punktem w Tengboche (3867 m), ale kiedy okaza?o si?, ?e jeste?my w ca?kiem niez?ej kondycji, zaproponowano nam pój?cie wy?ej i dotarli?my a? do Dinboche le??cego an 4410 m!

Od pocz?tku do ko?ca wszystko by?o zorganizowane sprawnie i perfekcyjnie. Zacz?li?my od korespondencji e-mailowej i byli?my wr?cz zaskoczeni, jak szybko Gyan odpowiada? na nasze e-maile. Zorganizowa? wszystko dla nas na miejscu, a kiedy dotarli?my do Nepalu poznali?my Gyana oraz naszego przewodnika Gyanendr?.

Nast?pnego dnia lotem do Lukli rozpocz?? si? nasz trekking. Stamt?d pomaszerowali?my a? do Jorsalle.
Nast?pnego dnia dotarli?my do Namche Bazaar i musimy przyzna?, ?e aklimatyzacja zosta?a przeprowadzona bardzo dobrze.

Podczas trekkingu mieli?my trzy posi?ki - ?niadanie, lunch i kolacj?, dania mogli?my sami wybiera? z menu. Ka?dego dnia, po kolacji nasz przewodnik przynosi? nam pokrojone w ma?e kawa?eczki owoce a kiedy by?am nieco chora przyniós? mi je nawet do pokoju.

Nasz trekking by? po prostu perfekcyjny - podziwiali?my mnóstwo przepi?knych widoków. Mieszkali?my te? w dobrych hotelikach, a zawsze, kiedy to by?o mo?liwe - dostawali?my pokój z ?azienk?, za który nie musieli?my p?aci? dodatkowo.

Podsumowuj?c - ca?y trekking by? naprawd? wspania?ym do?wiadczeniem. Marzymy o powrocie do Nepalu i w Himalaje i nie wyobra?amy sobie wówczas wyboru innej firmy ni? Gyana i jego Adventure Treks Nepal.

Dzi?kujemy,

16: Aashray, David and friend - from UK
Everest Base Camp) June 06-23 2009.

Aashray, David and David Comments: "Me and two friends took the Everest Base Camp trek on the 6th of June as our summer holidays/jobs didnt allow us to go for the August option. We were a little worried before hand about if the monsoon would be coming in and if we would have any views of everest at all as we had heard conflicting reports about the weather in the begining of June. Anyway, we booked the trip with ease and got lots of interesting and useful information off Adventure Treks Nepal before our arrival. At kathmandu we were promplty picked up at the airport in what must be said as the most amazing 1970's mercedes there ever was and dropped off at our hotel. The next day we were given a great city tour of Kathmandu which served as a great opertunity to meet our guide for the next two weeks, Gyanendra. The tour was great and well planned. The next day we flew out to Lukla after a slight delay at the airport due to bad weather. After we touched down we had amazing views over the entire valley and started our climb to our first overnight stop. The next day was the trek to Namche, now this was tough. Very steep in some parts and a little uncomfortable if the weather is warm but the good thing was that it didnt take too long, it was only a short 3 hour climb. After a rest day in Namche we climbed up to our next acclimatising stop in Dingboche over the next few days. Here we climbed a "hill" on our rest day which was to introduce us to the effects of altitude and to allow us to aclimatise better. This was where i felt the effects of the thinner atmosphere the most. Basically I found it hard to walk more than 10 minutes without having to sit down. I felt sick and had a headache throughout the climb but it was worth it as it then allowed me to climb to out next stop over point, Lobuche, without any diffculty at all. Here we were truley in the mountains, as all around you were peaks of more than 25000ft right next to you. You felt dawarfed amongst them. The weather had also dramatically picked up, the sky was crystal clear and not too cold either (I was walking in a t-shirt most of the time). The next day was a toughy though. We hiked to Gorak Shep then went straight up Kallar Pathar (the highest point we go, 20000ft) for some fantastic views of Everest and the surrounding mountains. The weather was perfect and we couldnt of got luckier. The climb up Kallar Pathar was probably the hardest part of the whole trek though, as even though youve acclimatised its still difficult to get enough air into your lungs to make any worthwhile progress up the mountainside, so your always struggling to push on even though your body is screaming out for a break. Its definatly worth it though as its a view Im never going to forget. I mean im not one of those people who like to "push themselves to the limit", I like my comforts. But the sense of accomplishment on reaching that peak (i say its a peak but its tiny in comparison to the other mountains) is enormous. It was truely such an achievment. After that we went to the base camp itself. It wasnt really what i was expecting. Theres nothing there, not even a sign or something. It was great to get there but If anyone has to make a decision between base camp or Kallar Pathar, perhaps due to weather or illness or something, you should definatly choose Kallar Pathar. Without question. Anyway, that night one of my friends got quite ill with altitude sickness. Thankfully our guide Gyanendre was extreamly helpfull and prescribed some Diamox (they have a plentiful supply up there in the mountains) and some garlic soup, which seemed to do the job nicley. On the way down we decided to save time we would do a massive 30k to take us down to Namche in one day. Which, by the way, on the way up took us 6 days. That was tiring, as its not all downhill, the trail is very mixed with lots of ups and downs throughout. We made it however, all blistered and bruised. But we had our first shower in 9 days which made it all worthwhile! After that it was a short walk to Lukla where we stayed a night in relative comfort (they even have a fake starbucks!) then flew back to Kathmandu where we were treated to a fantastic complimentarry meal by our company with Gyanendre. It truely was an amazing experience which i would recomend to anyone, without a doubt. You dont need to be super fit, im not, and you dont need to be a crazy keen mountaineerer or hiker,im not. It probalbly helps, but its not nesessary. What you do need though is the determination and to have the physical will power to get you up there. Its not easy in some places and things invairably will not go to plan. Youll get sick (on that note, avoid ALL meat during your trip) and youll get grumpy but all of that pales into comparison to the elation youll feel when you finally make it, and you will make it. It will be fantastic and sometrhing which you'll never, ever forget.
Hats off to everybody who made our trip so special, especially to our guide Gyanendre who was simply amazing. Great fun and always smiling. All the best and enjoy your trip."

(Everest Base Camp) Aug 06-23 2009.

Joao Menaia" X 01 Pax (Portugal) Comments: Trekking in Nepal with Adventure Treks Nepal was, from day one, an experience I absolutely recommend!! Just after I landed in Kathmandu, Gyan was expecting me with his great Mercedes and a flower necklace! Since I was traveling alone and booked all my trip through the internet, I was a little suspicious of what I would get, but after this warm welcome and talking a bit with Gyan, I was sure I picked the right guys!

Gyan took me to the hotel and explained everything I needed to know. He then introduced to my guide, Gyanendra, with whom I would spend the rest of the week.

The trek itself, although short because I only had one week, was great!! Great views, great people!! That's the Himalaya you would get with any agency. However, not every agency has Gyanendra!!! He is definitely a great guide!! Since the beginning he was always very interested in explaining things about the places we were and he knows a lot about everything. A very professional guide. Since I was alone, we had the opportunity to talk along the trek and Gyanendra is a really good trek buddy. He his always willing to help and always worried if everything is ok. In our way back, we got stuck in Luckla because of the bad weather and Gyanendra did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable and made sure we were on the first flight to Kathmandu.

In the last day Gyanendra guided me to some sightseeing in Katmandu, which he did despite having some personal urgent problems to solve. He is really a good person, very humble and professional.

In the end, Gyan took me to the airport and I had the opportunity to confirm what a good person he also is. I'm sure Gyan has the right mindset to run this agency since he is always very interested in saying the truth to the customers and making sure everybody feels great.

If I ever come back to Nepal, I would definitely go with these guys!!! I wish them the best!

Namaste!
Joao Menaia

Comments: We just want to say on behalf of the two of us, what a great trip to Nepal we had all of the arrangements went really smoothly, all the organisation was spot on it was great to see Kathmandu, and we enjoyed seeing the temples with our guide and the main trek with Gyanendra and Porter were brilliant - though hard work of course !
So thank you for everything, and we hope you continue to have this kind of services for future treks like ours.
Thanks!

Gokyo Lake Trek & Bhotekoshi Rafting) 26 Sep 2009-16 Oct 2009.

Comments: When planning our trip to Nepal we had the advantage that I had been there before for some 3 months and knew my way through most of Kathmandu, Pokhara and the area in between. Nevertheless I had never been to the everest region and that was just the thing we wanted to see so badly.
Mr. Bruyneel Bram & Bocklandt Stephanie Ms X 02 PaxIt took some time to get our way through the endless list of travel agencies but Mr. Karki from Adventure Treks Nepal was always the first to reply to our mails, he gave very adequate information and did a good follow up. We decided to give him a try.

Afterwards it prooved to be the best decision ever. On arrival we were picked up by Mr Karki himself and got a brief introduction in the hotel. Everything was very clear and the money thing was handled correctly. We got a nice room in centre Thamel. We were introduced to our guide Gyanendra. We could not wait to get on with the trekking.

We've done the Gokyo Trek and Gyanendra has been a marvellous guide from the beginning onward. He knows very much about the region, he speaks english fluently and he is certain to become your friend toward the end of the trek. He is quiet and stays in the background when you are enjoying your rest after a hard day of walking, but whenever needed he is there to help you.

On the way to the top of Gokyo Ri he and Bram gave me that extra push at the time that I almost decided to give up, so I am grateful that he saw to it that we reached the top as a team of 3! He was always looking for the best accomodation, even when there was no such thing as good accomodation available. ;-)

We had the best time ever during those 10 days and he showed us arround in the most spectacular landscape ever. After the trekking we were invited to Mr Gyan's house for dinner. It was charming and the food was delicious. It felt good to enjoy the real Nepali life instead of the artificial Thamel atmosphere. Mr Gyan en Gyanendra are always there to help and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are really honest people, which are, unfortunately, not always easy to find.

We could not have wished a better travel agency. Top! They will be recommended to every one of our friends who is planning a trip to Nepal. And if we should have the luck to go back, they will be the first people to pay a visit to.

Thank you so much for making our trip into a memorable experience!
Best regards,
Bram and Stephanie.

Comments: Trekking Campo Base Annapurna 6-26 ottobre 2009

Comments: I arrived at Thamel, Kathmandu in early October 2009, having exchanged just a few emails with Gyan Karki. I planned to spend October and November in Nepal. I had not yet booked a trek, but our email exchange had already given me a good feel for Adventure Treks Nepal (ATN). They sounded experienced, friendly and extremely professional . I had a good idea of the schedule I wanted. When I met Gyan on my first day in Kathmandu, his friendly and smiling face fuelled my enthusiasm to get started as soon as possible. I quickly booked a tailor made 25 day trek that combined the Annapurna Circuit and Base Camp treks. I also booked with ATN, the Everest Base Camp trek, travelling via Gokyo and the Cho La Pass over 22 days. At very short notice, Gyan managed to arrange for me, my own guide/porter, Mingma, for the Annapurna trek. I was impressed. For the Everest trek, my guide/porter was Shangham.

I will always recall Gyan, his driver Yekka and Mingma meeting me early on Day 1 of my Annapurna trek, at my guesthouse, where we all had breakfast together. We then drove in Gyan's white 1970s Mercedes from Thamel to Besi Sahar, the official start of the circuit. I was immediately touched by the warm welcome, courtesy and respect shown to me. They had already become my friends. From booking flights, transporting me to/from airports, arranging tours - this warmth, professionalism and the personal touch were constant throughout my contact with ATN.

I would definitely recommend ATN to anyone wanting to trek in the Nepal Himalayas. You will receive an excellent all round service. ATN is an extremely professional company that prides itself in providing a very personal touch. I guarantee that you will take home with you some truly lifetime experiences. I shall definitely be back soon !

My Guide/Porters – Mingma: Annapurna Circuit and Base Camp; Shangham: Everest Base Camp via Gokyo and the Cho La Pass

Hiring a guide/porter is a personal choice. I decided to use Mingma and Shangham because I thought I would have a more enjoyable experience without having to carry a 20kg pack. I would also benefit from the personal security and cultural insights offered to me by a guide/porter. I was not disappointed.

Influenced by Gyan's example, teaching and the ATN philosophy, Mingma and Shangham were extremely hard working, courteous and encouraging. As we trekked through a variety of terrains and climates, I learned much from them, about the different history's, cultures- Nepalese and Tibetan- religions and foods of the indigenous populations. Their knowledge of many of the world's highest peaks was impressive.

For their professionalism, hard work and courtesy, I would recommend Mingma and Shangham at ATM, to anyone who decides to use a guide/porter for their trek.

Comments: I have decided to travel alone to Nepal, that's why I sought my friend ,Sona's help(she has completed Annapurna Base Camp in 2007) who recommended Adventure Trek Nepal. It was very important form me (as I have decided to travel alone) to find a trustworthy, reliable travel agency. I can't thanks enough to Gyan, Gyanendra,Ramess that I had completed the trip of my life. They were always there for me 24/7..

When I changed my mind and decided to finish EBC track earlier in order to see more of Nepal's beautiful "treasures" they helpfully organised it for me in the last minute.

I would highly recommend them to everyone.
Many thanks

Comments: Mountain climbing, a first for the team. Moe, Raed, Anshul, Sachin, Rishabh, YP our cameraman and myself Matt, never expected what we confronted. The idea came to our mind when Moe and I visited Nepal for a Safari last February. Everest gave us a feeling that could not be described in words. When you see photos and documentaries you think it's a walk in the park but believe me the eight hours of walk each day was one experience none of the members will ever forget. I am definitely sure Omar & Gyan didn't know what he was up against as they had never met anyone other than Reed prior to this trip. They were already shocked with the preparation our team had done just on the night of our arrival with the mountain of bags we intended to take alongwithus, and the first thing they did was make us empty our bags and tell us what we MUST leave behind, it worked with the "Indians" but not with us.

Personally it wasn't a first for me to poor areas of the world but this one was different not just for me but for everyone in the team. When you see the porters ranging from 11 to 60 years old carrying 30Kg on their backs tied to their foreheads it makes you think, not what their strength is, but of the will they have. And they do it from their hearts with love and they never stop smiling. You feel a certain energy and it gives you strength to carry on.

This trip showed us all a different side to life. Days without showers, sleeping in a sleeping bag when the weather just outside our one layer cabin is -10C, bathrooms with a mountain view were honestly the least of the trip's challenges. It didn't matter how fit you are and how many hours you spent in the gym every day, your heart rate still went up as high as 160 in a matter of seconds just taking a few steps along the trek. Our trek started off from one of the world's amost interesing airports at Lukla at the altitude of 2,860m and went through the villages of Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Thyangboche, Dengboche, Leboche and finally Gorak Shep which is just a 5km walk from Everest Base Camp. 5km is a mere 2hrs 30mins of undulating paths including navigating precariously over big rocks. At this point we haden't slept nor showered but we were relieved to have reached our destination of Base Camp which is 5,360m above sea level surrounded by beautiful towering glaciers. Fueled by excitement, we only felt the head aches caused by low oxygen, thin air and the hours of walk when we got back to Gorak Shep, our resting place for the night. It wasn't over yet because early in the morning we had to go up Kala Pattar, a hill standing at 5,657m with an incredible uninterrupted view of the summit of Everest.

All in all, we managed to reach the Base Camp in seven days before starting our journey back in three days. It was great to savour the views on the way back now having achieved our ultimate objective. Finally the trip ended with the same unforgettable energy it started with, a hilarious stand up comedy improvisation at Lukla airport which we will all remember as one of the trips best highlights !

This amazing trip wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Wild Guanabana, (Adventure Treks Nepal) Omar, Gyan and our local guide Gani and of course our famous porters Jit Bahadur, Bala Ram and Marakubir. Thank you for making this such a memorable trip for us all !

Comments: Gyanendra was introduced to us by a very good friend of ours who strongly recommended Gyanendra as a very good trekking / Tour guide. We were not clear then if Gyanendra or his agency could provide equally good sightseeing schedules. After exchanges of emails we decided to use them as our agency in Nepal.

We believe Gyanendra and his agency could be very helpful in planning trip to their area. Because of the range of activities available, detail requirements should be well communicated in advance to ensure the best arrangement.

Egil X 4 Pax ( Family Trekking) (Norway)Comments: We are a Norwegian family living in Singapore. With two daughters, 5 and 7 years, it is always a question what to do and where. After have been visiting different islands in the South East Asia for the last two years, we had a strong desire to do something else. The adults were both eager to go trekking but we were not so sure about the girls. In 1993 I did the Annapurna Circuit and I then learned that trekking in Nepal is not difficult at all since there is a very good infrastructure in the mountains for the trekkers. Last time I did not have a guide and porters, but this time we knew that if we would like to have a nice trip for the whole family we would need help. After having searched the internet we were very lucky to find Adventure Treks Nepal. After we had been emailing back and forth with Gyan we understood that they were up to the challenge of taking good care of us.

To make the story short: We got a fantastic welcome to Nepal, and we were taken very good care of by both Gyan (one of the owners of the company) and Gyanendra (our guide) during out stay. The girls was strong, but we had to carry them when they got tiered, which was not a problems since the porters helped us with the luggage and Gyanendra helped us with the kids.

We went straight from Katmandu to Pokhara and had only one night there before we headed for the mountains. On our way back we had a few days in Pokhara but did not visit Kathmandu. Due to the fact that we did not fancy driving in a bus for too long time, we did not go for the jungle trek, but we met a British couple that did that and they told us that it was fantastic.

Thank you very much to Adventure Treks Nepal for making our trip unforgettable !

Mariko & Salvador (Japan & Israel)Comments: We are a couple of photographers traveling the world independently. But as first time trekkers, we decided to take a guide and a porter for a 5 days trekking in Annaporna area.

After arriving to Kathmandu, we shopped around for local agencies which were recommended by travel guide books. After speaking with a few agencies, we noticed that some will say anything to sell you the trip regardless of the level of experience or lack of experience in our case… When we met Gyan, the owner of Adventure Treks Nepal (P) Ltd., we knew that we found the right agency. He was honest, sincere and professional. He did not try to sell the trip; he simply tried to help us to make the decision and offered his service.

During our trekking, we were guided by Gyanandra and accompanied by a happy young porter Dipendra.
G
yanandra,
being a former police officer and a proud father of a young son, was so responsible and patient. Also with many years of experience as guide to the people from all over the world, he was very sensitive to what we wanted out of our trekking. As photographers, we had to carry heavy equipments and stopped much more often than an average trekker. Gyanandra offered to carry my heavy camera bag when I was tired and patiently waited until I made my shots. He also mastered to use our cameras and took one of the best photos of us in the mountains. He not only made us feel safe in the mountain, but also enriched our experience by being such a good friend.

He knows everyone in the mountain lodges and I think that guaranteed us to always have the best room, hot showers and extra blankets !

Also, I have to mention about our porter Dipendra. He was a 19 years old collage student who has been working as a porter for 3 years. He had such gentle, respectful manner and a bright smile. His positive attitude was so refreshing and it added joy to our journey.

I would recommend Adventure Treks Nepal (P) Ltd. to anyone who is traveling to Nepal and we can not wait to go back to Nepal for more trekking and to meet up with our new friends, Gyan , Gyanendra & Dipendra! The best team in Kathmandu !!
