Mt. Manaslu is located in Nepal's Gorkha District and rises to 8,163 meters. Manaslu lies just east of the famed Annapurna Region and shares a border with its northern neighbor, Tibet. Opened to trekkers shortly, Manaslu's unsurpassed beauty and rich blend of Tibetan and Nepali cultures offer the dedicated trekker a genuine adventure. This is a difficult trek that requires us to be very isolated from any sort of modern facilities. The trek reaches high elevations and has the opportunity to view rocky and mountainous landscapes and aqua blue-green glacier lakes. You will understand why this area has always been a favorite mountaineer's playground.

The classic adventure to Annapurna Circuit explores the tremendous diversity of Annapurna region challenging high passes, deserted Tibetan plateau, subtropical/alpine/flora and fauna, fascinating terraced fields all linked by historic trade routes. We follow the Marsyangdi River Valley northward until we cross the highest elevation of the trip 5416 meters trekking beneath the soaring peaks of Manaslu, Lamjung and Himalchuli. As you go higher up, you find an incredible change in landscape and culture. The trader valley of Manang is the homeland of Manangis of Tibetan origin who migrated 500 years back. After crossing Throng Pass 5416 meters, you will be at the shrine of Muktinath with the arid beauty of Tibetan plateau. Turning south, we descend the Kali Gandaki valley (deepest gorge of the world) through the pretty trading village of Marpha and Tukuche. Before heading towards Pokhara, you hike a bit up to Poon Hill for the unforgettable SUNRISE panoramic views of giant Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and whole Annapurna range.
The Kingdom of Mustang preserves some of the last vestiges of traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture. Situated on the border of Nepal and Tibet, it is open to only a few select trekking groups each season. The trek follows established trails through substantial villages that once served a thriving trade route between Nepal and Tibet. These whitewashed settlements, set amid fields of barley and home to impressive chortens and simple monasteries, reflect the abiding Buddhist culture. The terrain is striking, a semi-arid desert with deep ravines and rock shelves, flanked by snowy peaks. A highlight is the visit to Lo Manthang where the King of Mustang reigns over his tiny kingdom.
