Our Kathmandu - Chitwan - Pokhara tour includes the sightseeing around World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley at the initial stage letting you know the practices and history of people living in this valley. From Kathmandu we then head to the jungle of Chitwan National Park where we will be able to witness the one horned Rhino with our own eyes while knowing more about the cultures of Tharu Community and get lost into the nature by involving ourselves in various wild life activities. After spending couple of days in Chitwan National Park, our next destination will be Nepal’s lake city, Pokhara. In Pokhara we will again visit some of the sightseeing sites around the city while enjoying the peaceful environment of lakeside during your stay in Pokhara.

Day 01: Arrival in Nepal [1,330 m]: After you land in Kathmandu airport you will meet a representative from Adventure Treks Nepal who will assist you with hotel procedure. A short briefing will be done once you have settled down. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Cultural Tour in Kathmandu [1,330 m] - (B): Today we will explore the Kathmandu Valley. We will visit the World heritage sites located in Kathmandu Valley. After your breakfast we will drive towards Swyambhunath also known as the monkey temple because of hundreds of monkeys living around the stupa. It is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Stupa and believed to be more than 2,000 years old. We will then drive to the ancient palace of Kathmandu Valley, the Kathmandu Durbar Square. This premises was the palace of ancient Kathmandu with many other attractions like temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple and the Kastamandap temple inside the Durbar Square Area. From Kathmandu Durbar Square we head to another ancient Palace of Kathmandu Valley situated in Patan. Patan Durar Square has a long Buddhist History and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.Visit Patan City second largest city of valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen temple, Manga Hiti, King Yogaendra Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju temple, 15th century Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of 10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple. Bishwakarma Temple, Uma Maheshwar Temple. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Cultural Tour in Kathmandu [1,330 m] - (B): After breakfast at the hotel we head to the city of art and craft, Bhaktapur. We will visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square area, another ancient palace which now is a UNESCO world heritage site. Bhaktapur is also known as city of Devotees and was the main center of art and architecture during the medieval period. This city was founded by Aanand Dev in 889 A.D and reflects very unique traditions with a beautiful wood crafting skills performed through traditional techniques. From Bhaktapur we visit the holy temple of Hindhu people, the Pashupatinath temple. This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and the crimination process of hindu people are performed at the River bank flowing below the temple. Lastly, we visit the oldest and biggest stupa of Nepal, Bouddhanath Temple. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 04: Fly to Bharatpur Airport and drive to Chitwan National Park (B,L,D) : After a hearty breakfast at the hotel we will take a flight to Bharatpur Airport from where Chitwan National Park is just 30 min away. After you check in and freshen up we will have a village tour of Tharu people, native people of Chitwan. The village tour is followed by a visit to Museum from where we walk towards Rapti river bank to observe the beautiful sunset. The last activity for the day will be Tharu stick dance performanace later on this day. During the performance Tharu people use different types of sticks to create beautiful sights. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05: In Chitwan National Park (B,L,D): This day is filled with wildlife activities all day long. To begin with we set out on a dog- out canoeing followed by a short jungle walk which takes us to the Elephant breeding center of this area. During day we again go to Rapti River to see the elephants taking baths, during summer you can swim and enjoy with elephant while it takes bath. We also have Elephant Ride on this day which is a must once you are in Chitwan National Park. The clumsy ride on the Elephant inside the forest is a different experience for many of the travellers. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Fly to Pokhara (B): On the last day morning we go on a jungle walk to see some of the birds living in this region. After completing the bird watching session we will fly to Pokhara. Once you get to Pokhara the rest of the day is at leisure. You can walk around the streets of Lakeside with many shops vendors. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 07: In Pokhara (B): Early in the morning we will drive for around 30 min to a place named Sarangkotr to observe the sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan Range that include two of the 8000 ers of Nepal with many other peaks like Fishtail. Hiuchuli, Annapurna South and so on. We then drive back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we have a sightseeing tour of Pokhara City which includes the visit of Davis fall, Gurkha Museuam, Bindabasini Temple and Tibetan Camp. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu (B): After breakfast we take a mountain flight to Kathmandu. |Upon your arrival in Kathmandu we will transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day has no plans so you can enjoy your time around Kathmandu with any last minutes shopping to be done you can do it today. Overnight in Hotel

Day 09: Departure (B): A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will drop you to the airport according to your flight time.

If you are thinking about how to obtain Nepal visa, then the easiest way to obtain it is at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Nepal or else at the immigration entry point if you are entering through the border of India or Tibet.

Note: There are few countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, Palestine, etc. People from these countries do not get visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal.)

What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?

If you are thinking of taking visa at the airport or immigration entry point, following are your requirements:

* A valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
* You should fill the application form for visa available at airport or immigration entry points.
* Two passport size photos
* Visa fees which should be paid in cash.

* Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
* Eastern Nepal - Kakarvitta, Jhapa.
* Central Nepal - Birjung, Parsa.
* Northern Border - Kodari, Sindhupalchowk. (Now closed after earthquake).
* Northern Border - Kerung, Rasuwa.
* Western - Rupandehi (Belhiya, Bhairahawa).
* Mid-western - Banke (Jamuna, Nepalgunj).
* Far western - Kailali (Mohana, Dhangadhi) / Kanchanpur (Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar).

Visa Fees

* USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency for 15 days.
* USD 50 or equivalent convertible currency for 30 days.
* USD 125 or equivalent convertible currency for 90 days.
* For the tourist of SAARC nationals, free visa up to 30 days.
* Visa is not required for Indian nationals. However, if they enter Nepal via air, they will have to show a valid identification certificate (passport/ citizenship certificate). The children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.

Visa Extension

* Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.
* In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as late fine.

Transit Visa

When a foreigner has to get down at Nepalese airport as a result of his/her transit point or due to any force landing for whatever the reason, the foreigner can obtain transit visa for a day after paying USD 5 or any other currency equivalent.

Other General Information

* Entering in to Nepal or staying in Nepal without a valid visa is illegal.
* Tourist visa can be obtained either through the Nepalese embassy or consulate or other mission offices in your nation or at the immigration entry points in Nepal listed above.
* Visa once issued cannot be amended and the visa fees are non-refundable.
* You should pay the Nepal visa fees in cash. Credit card or cheque are not acceptable.
* Visa charges are not applicable for children under 10 years of age, however, they must obtain a valid visa.
* If you are obtaining a new passport or travel document, you are advised to contact the Immigration Department for the document transfer.
* Always carry your passport and trekking permit while on trekking.
* Some of the areas are restricted for filming. Therefore, be careful not to do the activities that are strictly prohibited.
* The culture, tradition and sentiments of Nepalese people should be respected.
* Do not perform any activities that would hurt their sentiments.
