Champadevi Hill Hiking 01 Day

Champadevi Hill Hiking

Many of us are tired of the hectic schedules from the busy life and have an urge to head into the nature. Well, this is now possible as Adventure Treks Nepal introduces you to the Champadevi hiking. Not so far from the Kathmandu Valley, Champadevi hiking can be a perfect destination for your one day escape. Standing at an elevation of 2,285 meters above sea level, Champadevi hill is the third highest hill surrounding the Kathmandu valley. The hiking to conquer this hill begins from Pharphing, a small Newar town sitting above the Bagmati River approximately 22 km southern of the Kathmandu valley.

Heading uphill towards the top of Champadevi hill we come across a small village with beautiful monasteries. With Buddhism reflected by the surrounding monasteries, the view of the village lying below the dense forest is pretty amazing. The hiking is around 3 to 4 hours long as the trail enters the dense forest and climbs higher and higher as we pass hundreds of pine trees. Finally, reaching at the top rewards you with absolutely beautiful view of the Kathmandu Valley at the lap of the Himalayas such as Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, Gauri Shanker and many more. The trail you will come across during this hike is easy and suitable for people of all age. Just one tip, do carry enough water and food. After spending time at the top we can return back the same trail we used while ascending or join another trail that drops down to Taudaha, considered as one of the freshest lakes around Kathmandu Valley. This lake holds many mythological stories and is a perfect place to relax while your guide explains the stories behind this lake.
