Detail Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu (1,330m): A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will pick you from the airport and assist you with the accommodation. A short briefing will be done once you have settled down. If you have any questions please do let us know. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: Cultural Tour in Kathmandu (1,330m) - (B): You will have breakfast in the Hotel. After breakfast we will drive to various UNESCO listed world heritage sites of Nepal which are situated inside the Kathmandu Valley. Swyambhunath is the initial heritage site that we will be visiting; a famous and important Stupa for Buddhists which is situated at the top of a hill in Kathmandu Valley. The temple is also known as Monkey Temple due to hundreads of monkeys living around the temple area. We then head to the ancient palace of Kathmandu, Kathmandu Durbar Square which consists many historical temples such as temple of the living Goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, and the Kasthamandap, a famous three storey building which was built from a wood of a single tree. Later today we will visit the most scared Hindu shrine of the world, Pashupatinath followed by the visit to Bouddhastupa one of the oldest and biggest stupa in Nepal. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2,652m), Trek to Phakding - (B/L/D): Early in the morning we will drive to the Domestic Airport from where we take a scenic 45 min mountain flight to Lukla where we will meet our supporting crew members (Porters). After everything is ready we begin our footsteps on the famous Everest trail while we descend to DudhKoshi River, a blazing river that originates from the glacier of the highest mountains. The trail reaches Phakding while we trek on a quite easy path along the wheat and potatoes fields.Overnight in Tea House. Average trekking time is 3 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) - (B/L/D): Today we will be heading to the Himalayan Traders Hub, NamchheBazzar. After breakfast we walk through the Rhododendron and pine forests and cross the DudhKoshi River twice before entering into the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail to NamchheBazzar will have lots of Yaks used for transportation of goods to many parts of Everest region. From NamcheBaazzar, the view of Nupla(5,885m), KongdeRi (6,093m) and Thamserku (6,808m) is just breathtaking. Overnight in Tea House. Average trekking time is 5 to 6 hours.
Day 05: Acclimatization day, day hike to Shyangboche (3,833m) - (B/L/D): This is a rest day in NamchheBazzar for acclimatization. Due to the decreasing air pressure it is important to spend an extra night in NamchheBAzzar to prepare your body mentally and physically for the trek onwards. We will have a short hike to Everest View Hotel in Shyangboche from where the view of AmaDablam and Everest is just stunning.Overnight in Tea House. Average trekking time is 2 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche (3,780m) - (B/L/D): After your breakfast we begin our trek on a path that goes around the ridges and down through the Rhododendron forests. The natural beauty of this region is awe-inspiring as the AmaDablam and Everest rise majestically above us. We again cross the raging DudhKoshi River and begin a long uphill climb to the famous Buddhist monastery of Thyangboche. The monastery was initially built in 1912 but was later destroyed by fire and in 1989 it was rebuilt with assistance from Sir Edmund Hillary. You will also see some wild animals like musk deer, mountain goat and Pheasants while trekking through the forests. Overnight inTea House. Average trekking time is 4 to 5 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Khumjung (3,780 m) - (B/L/D): After your breakfast we set on a easy and smooth walk to Khumjung. We explore a School built by Sir Edmund Hillary called, “ School House in the clouds” and also the famous Khude Hospital. We have plenty of time so you can spend time with the local sherpas who will treat you with great hospitality. The trail then moves beside the terraced fields and we may see varieties of Pheasant. We will also be able to visit the Khumjungmonastry where we may have an opportunity to see the famous "Scalp of Yeti". Overnight in Tea House. Average trekking time is 4-5 hours.
Day 08: Trek to Phakding (2,652) - (B/L/D): After a wonderful morning in Khumjung we recollect our footsteps back towards Phakding. We can again stop at the Everest View Hotel for refreshment and also visit the Yak breeding farm and enter the NamchheBazzar. We then descend through the rhododendron forests and trek out of the Sagarmath National Park to reach the Sherpa settlement in Phakding. Overnight in Tea House. Average trekking time is 4-5 hours.
Day 09: Trek to Lukla (2,652m) - (B/L/D): On this day we trek on the same trail we used earlier. We walk through pine and rhododendron forests and hike uphill to move out of the DudhKoshi River Valley. We finally reach Lukla while we have magnificent views of KusumKanguru and other peaks trekking with us in the background. Overnight inTea House. Average trekking time is 03-04 hours.
Day 10: Fly Back to Kathmandu - (B): Leaving our supporting crew members in Lukla, we get on a flight to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the Hotel in Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at leisure. This day also works as a buffer day in case of flight cancellation to or from Lukla due to the weather condition.Overnight in Hotel.
Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu (1,330m) Free day - (B): Today is a free day in Kathmandu. There are plenty of activities you can do in Kathmandu. Visiting ancient Palaces of Bhakatapur and Patan can be a good option, or else you can walk around the streets of Thamel to shop for souvenirs and enjoy your time in restaurants of Thamel. We are always ready to give you suggestions. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 12: Fly back home (1,330m) - (B): A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will drop you to the airport. Return back with memories that last lifetime.
Note: Weight Limit 10 KG in Duffle bag and 5 KG in day pack on Domestic flight.
