Nar Phu Valley Trekking is a feral trek to hardly explored region situated north of Annapurna with Tibetan Influenced environment. The trekking difficulty ranges from medium to hard and special permits from Nepal Trekking Association is required in order to trek in this region. Nar Phu Valley Trekking offers an incredible opportunity to witness some of the stunning mountains and peaks of Annapurna region i.e Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna 2 (7,937m), Tukuche Peak (6,920m), Yakawa Kang (6,482m), Gangapurna (7,485m), Annapurna 3 (7,553m), Nilgiri South (7,061m) etc. Nar Phu Trekking route takes you to the edge of Southern border of Tibet with pleasing Nar Phu village inhabited by nomadic Manange people who live away from "modern lifestyle" and have very unique natural environment that one will be delighted to visit. The trek is filled with lots of adventure as the trail covers most of the portion of Annapurna Circuit Trek and passes Thorang - La Pass at an elevation of 5,416 meters above the sea level.
Nar Phu Valley Trekking begins from Chamje after your arrival in the city of temples, Kathmandu (Drive from Kathmandu to chamje by 4W). The trek then reaches Dharmsala while we hike around Chamje, Bagarchap and Kotho. The trail takes you through forests of pine and oak and beautiful waterfalls. From Dharmsala we continue our trek and reach Phu Village via Kyang. We cross a river on a suspension bridge at the altitude of 3,090 meters. After having a good rest in Phu Village the journey heads in the direction of Nar Campsite crossing Phu Khola at Naar Phedi and reaches Kang La Phedi as we slowly ascent through the lateral moraine of Temdenzon Khola River.
From Kang La Phedi we continue on Nar Phu Valley trekking trail and cross the big Kang La Pass (5,280m) with some of the breathtaking views of massive Annapurna mountain ranges and a grassy path lead to Ngawal. Following the path we reach Manang as we hike through beautiful villages with splendid monastery. After Manang walk leads towards Mustang via Letdar, Thorang Phedi and pass high Thorang La Pass. We then visit holy areas of Muktinath with excellent views of Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks, as the walk follows towards Kaligandaki River valley at Jomsom a large town and headquarter of Mustang district, from this lovely town taking a short scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara where this marvelous adventure Nar-Phu Valley Trekking concludes with fly back to Kathmandu.
