Nepal & India Buddhist Pilgrim Tour in January 2008 - from Sweden

Comments: It is with this letter that we highly recommend Adventure Treks Nepal and all its employees.

First of all, every request forwarded in advance of our arrival was taken into account in the final programme received on arrival at Delhi airport. During the trip it turned out to be no problem to make minor changes to the program.

On the subject of Cultural Tours/Buddhist Tour, professional expertise was arranged which gave an extra touch of quality to the programme. We have to complement Mr.Gyan Karki on the choice of guide, whose knowledge of country, culture and people by far exceeded our expectations. Most important thought is his sense of humor and understanding the needs of his guests, making the perfect match.

His language skills are superb.

The quality of the driver was in every respect good. Safe driving and awareness to the comfort of his passengers were his top priorities. Availability of the car was always good.

Coordination between guide and driver was good, showing team work.

Choice of accommodation was Very good and tasteful, including some very nice hotel.

General Service was also good and all special wishes were granted.

Therefore we highly recommend "Adventure Treks Nepal" yo any traveler looking for a high level of comfort and quality.

The trip was arranged in an excellent way by Mr Kjell Borneland from Swed-Asia together with Adventure Treks Nepal. Especially we would like to recommend our dear guide Mr. Karki, who suggested the final route, assisted us in Kathmandu, accompanied us to Pokhara and was our pathfinder, guide and translator during the marvellous trek high up in the Annapurnas. Thanks to Mr. Karki, we got to learn about the nature, culture and the daily living of people in the mountain villages we passed during our unforgettable trek. We also appreciated Mr. Karki, 's flexibility when a few changes needed to be done and obviously Mr. Karki, was very familiar with the locals, having many friends, which also benefitted us, not feeling as intruders, when accompanied by him. It is a pure pleasure to recommend Mr. Karki, as a guide for ventures like this in Nepal With Adventure.

Comments: Hallo Gyan,

Comments: Mark from Germany Lieber Gyan B. Karki,

Judith 02 Pax UK Comments: Hey Kim and Gyan, how are you two? I guess you are both out on treks again. We wanted to thank you both for such a fantastic experience. As you know for Kiwi's who have been brought up on stories of Sir Ed in Nepal to go to Everest base camp is a pilgrimage 2nd to none. It was so much more than we expected – the majesty and challenge of Nepal is amazing. Adventure treks Nepal really made the trip a success, firstly with such a welcoming arrival and then with Kim as our guide who gave us every opportunity to get to base camp. Other guides weren't taking their clients on extra acclimatisation walks in the afternoons (that's why we call Kim the smiling assassin!) or giving the right advice on what to eat and drink like Kim did with us. Beru did a great job as a porter too, always smiling as he carried all our clothing to the next stop, even when we decided to combine 2 days into one to get back to Lukla a day early he kept on going without a word of complaint. We feel we had the best of service and companionship. Thanks for that !

We really enjoyed our trek (although way too short) and we'll surely come back for more and use your company. The service we received was second to none and we are still moved by your kindness and personal touches. Geanie Leo X 02 USAComments: Dear Gyan,

Thanks so much for a great trip. Travis and I had a wonderful time while in Nepal. We would be happy to provide a reference for any of your future customers. As for our testimony, here are our thoughts:

We were very pleased with using Adventure Treks Nepal. This was the first time my husband and I had been to Nepal and we were a bit nervous booking over the internet. However, the references they provided us prior to making our decision were excellent and ATN definitely lived up to our expectations.

From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu, ATN was there to greet us and show us around. When our flight to Lukla was cancelled due to bad weather, ATN made sure we were taken care of and booked us into a very nice hotel. After spending the rest of the day showing us around Kathmandu, they also ensured that we got on a flight the next day.

We went trekking on the Everest Base Camp trail. The food and accommodations were very nice. When I felt ill from the altitude, our guide rearranged our schedule and allowed my husband to continue trekking, while I rested. Our guide was always willing to answer our questions about the history of Nepal and his English was excellent.

Upon returning to Kathmandu, the company owner invited us over to his house to enjoy the local cuisine. This was very generous and we felt right at home. We could not have asked for a better guide company. We would highly recommend using Adventure Treks Nepal!

Thanks,
Geanie Leo & Travis Leo

Comments: To whom it may concern:

If you are considering a holiday with Adventure Treks Nepal I am happy to say that, when I trekked The Annapurna Circuit in Oct 2008 the company could not have done any more to make it the most fantastic adventure. They were incredibly professional and, in particular, understanding, (and very patient!), after all my trekking partners had to cancel at short notice.

I found the whole package very good value and all the people I had dealings with, be it Gyan who organised it, Ramesh my excellent guide for 18 days and the driver Ika were all very friendly, did what they said they would do and helped to make it probably the best trip I have ever done.

It is always a slight concern dealing with a company abroad when you have not met them before and having now so successfully completed the tour and had such a wonderful time I will be more than happy to recommend Adventure Treks Nepal to anyone who is thinking of visiting that wonderful country. Please feel free to contact me if you need any information or reassurance and I will happily help in any way I can.

.Paul X 04 Pax UK Comments: We had a wonderfully organised trip to Nepal and ABC. In advance every effort was made to deal with all our requests, which made life much easier. Once in Nepal it was no problem to make changes we wanted to the program.

- The City Tour of Kathmandu was very professional and just right.

- We were driven everywhere always on time and good standard of driving.

- Gyan's language skills are very good.

- The trek was super, well organised, good standard of lodges and food.

- The porters and guide were great and very funny at times.

- All staff were extremely helpful and this makes for a very relaxed and enjoyable trip.

- The little personal touches were especially well received compared to using a large trekking company.

In particular I would recommend Mr Gyan Karki on his knowledge of the country, explanations of culture, and for his professionalism and reliability. No request or change to the schedule is too much and he will ensure you have a high quality trip.

Thank you Gyan and Namaste, we hope to see you again.

16 November 2008

Vilken dag. Men inget händer.

URL: http://www.open.org.np

Lite far man bjuda pa.

Ljuden. Faglar. Insekter, snacka om ljudmatta. Det luktar lite rök och jord. Lite fuktig luft under träden.
