The Royal Trek takes you closer to the Annapurna Himalayan Ranges while you don’t have to trek up to higher elevation. In 1980s, Prince Charles trekked through the same rice fields and bamboo forests with other ninety friends he had, after which the trekking route has been named as Royal Trekking route. This trekking route is one of the easy and short treks which are suitable for people of all age groups. From kids to honeymoon couples, anyone can walk along the Gurung villages that has a lot to offer through its unique hospitalities and traditions.
The Royal Trek by Adventure Treks Nepal begins from the city of lakes, Pokhara. After spending a day exploring the world heritage sites around Kathmandu valley we precede towards Pokhara from where we drive towards Bijaypur Khola the following day. From Bijaypur we start trekking north and our trekking ends at Begnas Lake. As we head northern the gigantic Annapurna Massifs appear closer and the views are something that a picture may not do justice. While on the trek, you will enjoy spectacular views of Mount Annapurna, Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Manaslu and many other Himalayan peaks. The beautiful mountain scenery, the traditional lifestyles and unique culture of Gurung, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal and easy accessibility to this area make Royal Trek one of the best.
However, trekking in this region is not recommended in the Monsoon i.e. July to mid-September. October and November and March to June are the best time of the year to do the Royal trek as the sky is normally clear allowing you to witness the Himalayas rising over the hills. Trekking in this region is also possible in winter season of the year. This trek is also suitable for trekkers who do not want too many people while they are trekking.
NOTE: If our planned itinerary doesn’t meet your requirements we can make a custom itinerary based on your preference and compatibility.
