Starting with a luxury stay in Kathmandu with an influence of Nepal’s true Culture in Hotel Dwarika’s, we head to Pokhara to stay in another trip advisor recommended hotel with peaceful and unique environment. After spending few days knowing about the cultural and religious history of this beautiful country, we now begin our trek to observe the real gem this country holds, the Himalayas. We trek to Poonhill, one of the popular trekking routes of Nepal suitable for people of all age to catch splendid panoramic views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Himalayan Range. Poonhill (3,210m) also offers one of the best sunrise views in Nepal.

After spending few days away from the luxury of city life and experiencing the Himalayan life closely we fly towards Chitwan National Park, home for one horned rhinos. We spend couple of nights in Chitwan National Park in a opulent hotel to heal our aching body after the trek. We also involve ourselves in many wildlife activities to know more about what’s hidden inside Nepal’s forests. Finally, we return back to Kathmandu to say goodbye to this beautiful country and return back home with memories that last lifelong.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu (1,330m): upon your arrival, a representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will be waiting outside the airport gates to take you to the hotel. Depending on time of arrival, plans will be made for a briefing meeting once you have settled in. Please let us know if there is anything special you would like to do while in Kathmandu and we can help you arrange that.

Afternoon: Today we will visit the most scared Hindu shrine of the world, Pashupatinath followed by the visit to Bouddha stupa one of the oldest and biggest Stupa in Nepal. Rest of the Time you may enjoy in the Hotel). (Overnight in Hotel). (Car). Dwarika's Hotel.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara (970m) - (B): after breakfast in the Hotel we transfer to the domestic airport then we take flight to Pokhara (about 25 M), the beautiful lake city and catch great views of the Himalayas from the right side of our airplane. After landing in the Pokhara airport we drive to the Hotel, Afternoon: We have a half day sightseeing tour of Bindhyabasini Temple known for its fabulous view of the city and mountain ranges. Catch a glimpse of the unique waterfall, Davis fall (Tibetan Camp at Chorepatan), home to the legend of the Devi’s fall (to add a little mystery to your adventure, be sure to ask about the legend when your there). You then head to the illustrious Gorkha Museum that represents the mountains, people, and the area’s environment. (Overnight in Hotel). (Car+Flight+Car). Fishtail Lodge or Temple Tree.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul, trek to Ulleri [2,020 m] - (B,L,D): After your breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara we begin our drive to Nayapul which is approximately 40 k.m. from Pokhara. The drive will take around 1 hour 30 min after which we will begin our trek. The first part of the trail takes us to Birethati where we will check in our ACAP permit and TIMS. We then cross the river at Birethati and head left along the gentle slope to Tikhedhunga where we cross the Bhurungdi Khola River on two suspension bridges. After crossing the river we will start the steep climb to Ulleri where we will be spending the night. (Car+Trek). (Drive 01-01:30 Hours). Trek (05-06 Hrs). Overnight stay at Tea House. (Mountain View Attached Room).

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani [2,810 m] - (B,L,D): After breakfast we continue our trek towards Ghorepani through the settlements of Banthati and Nangethati. We also pass a spring inside the forest after Banthati. Crossing the spring by a bridge we continue towards our destination. Occasional views of the peaks give way to a narrower valley, passing through Rhododendron forest then eventually reaching the village of Ghorepani where we spend a night. Trek (03-04 Hrs). Overnight stay at Tea House. (Sunny Hotel Attached room).

Day 05: Ghorepani to Chule [2,375 m] via Tadapani [2,630 m] - (B,L,D): During the night, your guide will check for clear weather to make the one-hour climb up to the Poonhill viewpoint at 3,210m. It’s usually misty when you start off and arrive, then at sunrise the clouds part to reveal one of the most majestic sunrises in the world; Machapuchhre, Annapurna South, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri Mountain are all viewable from here.

We then head back to Ghorepani for breakfast before trekking down to Chule via Tadapani. Along the trail towards Tadapani, we make climb along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960 meters). After that we descend to the Banthanti, we then turn off to Chule via Tadapani. Overnight stay at Tea House. Trek (05-06 Hrs). (Discovery Hotel)

Day 06: Chule - Ghandruk [1,945m] - (B,L,D): From Chule the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk. The first part of the trail is gradual up towards Kimrung Danda from where we begin to descend along with terraced fields and local village. We will also have many snow capped mountains in the background. We reach Ghandruk where we will have our lunch. After lunch we will visit the ancient Ghandruk village and Gurung Musueum. The museum has many items related to culture and religion of Gurung people. After exploring the Ghandruk area we finally will head towards our Tea House. Overnight stay at Tea House. Trek (03-04 Hrs). (Annapurna Attached room).

Day 07: Trek to Dhampus [1,650 m] via Landruk and Tolka - (B,L,D): After your breakfast we will continue our trek. After spending a night in Ghandruk with Annapurna South and Hiunchuli towering infront of us along with Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) we begin to trek downwards on a staircase path. We descend to cross a bridge over Modi Khola from where it is an uphill climb to Landruk where we will be stop for a short break. For Lunch we will stop in Tolka. After Lunch it is an easy walk towards Potana. From Potana it is a descend to Dhampus where we will be spending the night. Overnight stay at Paradise View. Attached Room.

Day 08: Dhampus - Pokhara [930 m] - (B,L): Early morning we can enjoy the view of Sunrise, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre & the countryside. After breakfast then walk down to Dhampus Phedi (approximately one and half hrs.) and then drive to Pokhara (about 30 minutes). (Trek+Car). Trek (02-03 Hrs). Temple Tree or Fishtail Lodge.

Day 09: Pokhara Fly to Chitwan National Park - (B,L,D): After breakfast at Hotel in Pokhara we have short drive to Domestic Airport in Pokhara followed by a flight to Bharatpur Airport from where Chitwan National Park is just 30 min away by road. Arrive Chitwan National Park. Barahi Jungle Lodge.

Day 10: In Chitwan National Park - (B,L,D): Full day jungle Activities. Barahi Jungle Lodge.

Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu - (B): Some Jungle Activities and Transfer to Bharatpur (Car+Flight+Car). Arrival in Kathmandu and Then we Proceed for sightseeing tour of sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city 13 km from Kathmandu, known as city of Devotees and center of medieval art and architecture founded by King Anand Dev in 889 AD, visit Nyatpola temple, the most beautiful temple of Nepal, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, Golden gate and other place of Interest. (Car +Flight+Car) (Overnight in Hotel). Hotel Yak and Yeti.

Day 12: Cultural Tour in Kathmandu (1,330m) - (B): You will have breakfast in the Hotel. After breakfast we will drive to various UNESCO listed world heritage sites of Nepal which are situated inside the Kathmandu Valley. Swyambhunath is the initial heritage site that we will be visiting; a famous and important stupa for Buddhists is situated at the top of a hill in Kathmandu Valley. The temple is also known as Monkey Temple due to hundreads of monkeys living around the temple area. We then head to the ancient palace of Kathmandu, Kathmandu Durbar Square which consists many historical temples such as temple of the living Goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, and the Kasthamandap, a famous three storey building which was built from a wood of a single tree.

Later today we will visit Patan City Patan is often referred to as Lalitpur, which means “city of beauty”. Patan has a long Buddhist History and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.Visit Patan City second largest city of valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen temple, Manga Hiti, King Yogaendra Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju temple, 15th century Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of 10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple. Bishwakarma Temple, Uma Maheshwar Temple. (Overnight in Hotel). (06-07 Hours). Hotel Yak and Yeti.

Day 13: Leisure day in Kathmandu (1,330m) - (B): Hotel Yak and Yeti.

Day 14: Fly back home - (B): We will transfer you to the airport and assist with check-in procedures. Check out Time at 12:00 noon.

If you are thinking about how to obtain Nepal visa, then the easiest way to obtain it is at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Nepal or else at the immigration entry point if you are entering through the border of India or Tibet.

Note: There are few countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, Palestine, etc. People from these countries do not get visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal.)

What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?

If you are thinking of taking visa at the airport or immigration entry point, following are your requirements:

* A valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
* You should fill the application form for visa available at airport or immigration entry points.
* Two passport size photos
* Visa fees which should be paid in cash.

Entry points to Nepal

* Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
* Eastern Nepal - Kakarvitta, Jhapa.
* Central Nepal - Birjung, Parsa.
* Northern Border - Kodari, Sindhupalchowk. (Now closed after earthquake).
* Northern Border - Kerung, Rasuwa.
* Western - Rupandehi (Belhiya, Bhairahawa).
* Mid-western - Banke (Jamuna, Nepalgunj).
* Far western - Kailali (Mohana, Dhangadhi) / Kanchanpur (Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar).

Visa Fees

* USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency for 15 days.
* USD 50 or equivalent convertible currency for 30 days.
* USD 125 or equivalent convertible currency for 90 days.
* For the tourist of SAARC nationals, free visa up to 30 days.
* Visa is not required for Indian nationals. However, if they enter Nepal via air, they will have to show a valid identification certificate (passport/ citizenship certificate). The children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.

Visa Extension

* Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.
* In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as late fine.

Transit Visa

When a foreigner has to get down at Nepalese airport as a result of his/her transit point or due to any force landing for whatever the reason, the foreigner can obtain transit visa for a day after paying USD 5 or any other currency equivalent.

Other General Information

* Entering in to Nepal or staying in Nepal without a valid visa is illegal.
* Tourist visa can be obtained either through the Nepalese embassy or consulate or other mission offices in your nation or at the immigration entry points in Nepal listed above.
* Visa once issued cannot be amended and the visa fees are non-refundable.
* You should pay the Nepal visa fees in cash. Credit card or cheque are not acceptable.
* Visa charges are not applicable for children under 10 years of age, however, they must obtain a valid visa.
* If you are obtaining a new passport or travel document, you are advised to contact the Immigration Department for the document transfer.
* Always carry your passport and trekking permit while on trekking.
* Some of the areas are restricted for filming. Therefore, be careful not to do the activities that are strictly prohibited.
* The culture, tradition and sentiments of Nepalese people should be respected.
* Do not perform any activities that would hurt their sentiments.
